Why do you post this in the thread? If you sincerely want to give naseeha to someone, then pm it to him.

Hey Jaysh, that's pretty ironic. If YOU really wanted to give naseeha to jinnzaman, then why didn't you PM him this instead of posting it in this thread?

My take on Jaysh:
Totally sexist. HOWEVER, You at least acknowledge the other side of that equation, and accept that you have certain responsibilities relative to your sexist stance. Yes, you don't think women should go mulling about outside their homes, BUT you also recognize that you have the responsibility to do everything for the woman that she would otherwise be able to do herself. As such, it probably wouldn't be total torture to be married to you, no matter how much I may tease about it. You at least would give your wife a gilded cage, and in spite of my horrible independent streak, I can appreciate that.
Kudos to you.

Re: Is it sexist or not?
God fearing men dont write other than what the Quran and sunnah says.
However, perhap if there were women scholars writing in english the roles of women ( this might help)...In the end its all down to the wording and reasoning.

And this isn't "your" thread. Its a discussion on Islamica plain and simple. You don't get to have ownership of the thread, or have any say in what can be posted in it or not.

Who started the thread, who made the thread, I DID, so it is my thread. thankyou. Inshallah it'll prevent me from seeing your posts.

That doesn't seem to say that a woman's chastity is more important than a mans. Rather it seems to point out that men are weaker than women when it comes to controlling their sexual urges, and therefore have to do MORE than women to keep themselves chaste. Women are admonished to cover as a means to an end, not an end in and of itself. Covering, standing in the back durring congregational prayers, these things aren't meant to keep women, but men chaste.
Fact of the matter is, men and women are commanded equally to gaurd their chastity. Therefore this whole argument that Islam emphasises the chastity of women more than men is silly. Culture pushes one over the other, not Islam.

very good point sister.

Re: Is it sexist or not?
yeah because people were going all over the place, and arguing for no reason.
the original post was about muslim men making more emphasis on women having good behavior than men, and how you see more things for women having good behavior and what they should do to keep modes than men. Thats all. I just didnt see a lot of things for guys and I felt like we were always under the magnifying glass all the time by men.
