Like I said, this doesn't mean that it's more wrong for women to be unchaste (compared to men) or that there's more of a value on their chastity. It's because in patriarchal socities, women suffer more for transgressions of sexual bounds. So in practice, if a woman is accused of being unchaste wrongly, then she'll suffer more (we see this in the modern day in many Muslim societies).
It's ironic because the Divine injunctions are meant to curtail that. That's perhaps why it's such a sin to falsely slander a woman's chastity. Also, perhaps that's why it's so difficult to convict somebody of adultery/fornication. The punishment for a male zani is the same as a female zani. A woman can, however, counteract her husband's testimony that she was unfaithful by testifying that she wasn't.

Do you ... have reading problems or what?
How does any of what you said make a difference to what I'm saying?

Re: Is it sexist or not?
Ah, I see. Yet another instance where you flip-flop, eh? Trying to pull of that whole "that's exactly what I said" thing again?
"I just said an engagement isn't a promise to marry, but I'm pretending like I'm agreeing with Salika who said an engagement entails an intention of marriage and involves wedding preparations."
 You're ridiculous.
Let's start from the beginning. Did you or did you not say that there's more of a value on a woman's chastity (as compared to a man's)?

You would, 'cause you're sexist.
Let me ask you: do you think there's more value placed on a woman's chastity in Islam (as compared to on a man's)?
The way you answer this question will determine my views about you forevermore, but... no pressure.

Ewww no. Despite the fact that it would be totally GAY it would still be a horrible match. Jaysh needs a docile girl, not an independent spirit like IbnM. A match like that has domestic violence written all over it.

Well, I took that test that Qudsia posted long time ago....it said I am a "benign sexist", i.e. a chivalrous guy.

Absolutely yes, without a doubt.
Ever wonder why a man can go shirtless, whereas a woman cannot even show her hair?
Ever wonder why a man can go anywhere he wants, whereas a woman is instructed to stay at home?
Ever wonder why a man must pray in the mosque (and encouraged to pray in the first row), whereas a woman is encouraged to pray in the most secluded corner of her house? The best rows for men are the front ones, whereas the best ones for the female are farthest away?
Ever wonder why a man can sing whereas a woman is not allowed to sing in front of men?
Ever wonder why a man can dance whereas a woman is not allowed to dance in front of men?

That's 'cause you change it to be more in line with your own sexist views. Astaghfirullah.
I need you to substantiate your sexist claims. Please and thank you.
EDIT: I see the reviews you made. Do you think these things (hijab and limitations on women's mobility) are to protect women's chastity?

Wrong. I grew up a Westerner, and I had a very hard time making my own "enlightened" beliefs conform to the beliefs of Islam. Until I finally let Islam enter my heart.

Putting aside the fact that a few of the opinions you've posted are not necessarily agreed upon. There's no way you could argue that a woman's chastity is more important in Islam than a man's.
You may be able to craft a convincing argument that women are subjected to more restrictions so as to protect both men and women from falling into zina but to claim that there is an unequal emphasis on the chastity of women (mandated by Allah swt) would be impossible to substantiate.
Men and women are both exhorted to guard their chastity as believers.
It takes two to tango bro.

But a lot of what society deems as sexy and lustful come from it's culture. There are societies where people walk around naked, sing, dance, and do all kinds of other things Islam prohibits, but the people are still take marriage very seriously, and hold a chastity in high regard.
(I edited out monogomy, becuase a lot of those societies practice polygamy)

Sometimes the most unlikely matches work. I think they'll compliment each other nicely
