Is Islamica representative of the Muslim society?
If not, why not?
If yes, what can you determine of the Muslim society?
-insolent, self-righteous people?
-educated, intelligent people successful in deen and duniya?
-sheltered people seeking popularity?
-bums who have no life so spend it behind a computer screen?
-people seeking knowledge, religious and worldly?
The above are just pointers... contribute your own.

You can't tell me what to do. You're not my mommy. I'm not giving any reasons, and you can't make me.

Re: Is Islamica representative of the Muslim society?
i think on here we tend to keep our guard up more than when we're out in the real world - too many of us struggle to act tough and it turns out making you look like an idiot. yeah it's the same outside of islamica but not so much. so no, God forbid it's no where near a representation of Muslim society.

Abu Hazim replied, “Because you have built and established this world and you have destroyed your Aakhirah, so you hate to go from what you have established to what you have destroyed.”

It cannot be representative of Muslim society, as it doesn't factor in those who do not use the internet and post on forums like this one.
What it probably is representative of, is internet culture in general, as those same basic attitudes can probably be found in any forum community with a large diversity of members.
As for those pointers, here is another one:
- people giving knowledge, religious and worldlly
Some, are probably a combination of all of those pointers.
