Clowns: whats so creepy about them?

alright seriously wats so terrifying about clowns, i know so many people afraid of them and others who just can't stand them but me personally I'm alright with them. there just regualr people with some make up on that's all so why are so many people afraid of these cute slash cuddly clowns? help me understand

My aunt had many many little marionette clowns hanging from her ceiling, limp like corpses... slowly turning around on their strings... vacant stares. Sometimes you'd catch a glimpse as one of those blank gazes passed you, and you'd swear the thing was sizing you up for latter that night.

i have no problem with clowns. i do however have a strong dislike for Ronald Mcdonald. i've always thought he was a creepy looking guy. they have a statue of him sitting on a bench outside of mickey D's close to where i live. even though i KNOW it's there, everytime i pass it, i always think there's a real person sitting on the bench staring at me. weirdoooooooo

i think the creepiness really emanates from the man behind the mask. he knows his life sucks well because hes a clown and you can see it in his dead eyes right through the makeup. you don't fool me with those painted on smiles *shakes fist*

Wouldnt the above sound the same for niqabis?
they know they're ugly, so they cover their face and try to look all "exotic" and you can see it in their eyes right through the narrow opening

hey me too! i remember i must have been about 7-8? and i was watching it, my cousin came in and said if i watch it imma get scared and have nightmares. i got scared, but i cant remember the nightmares!
