Because like, of course when they're that big, I just absolutely relish the wet crunchy sound and feeling you get when my boot comes down on that sucka's back. Its my way of showing jealousy because they can survive nuclear fallout and I can't. And that just makes me burn inside.
Its a bug, dude. If I see bugs, I usually just put them out of their misery because when they see me they start wetting themselves and having panic attacks.

This one time I was leaving the Guatemalan (freezing cold) highlands after months of not having seen any giant bugs. We were taking the night bus to see the Mayan ruins in the lowlands. They woke us up at about 4 in the morning to do some kind of quarantine thing and I drearily stepped off the bus directly onto a giant bug that exploded all over the parking lot. I felt really bad.
They have these beetles there that I'm a big fan of. They're so big, and they trundle along, minding their own business. If you try and pick them up, somehow they hunker down and latch onto the asphault and don't let go.
But there are bad things down there... "Kissing bugs" google that, and you won't like what you find, sleeping in the jungle, you've gotta be careful.

assalmau alaykum
what makes them survive nuclear fall outs? They're ugly things. What use would they be when nothing else exists? Odd.

Re: Just Killed A Huge Cockroach
I used to enjoy killing bugs(especially swatting fast flys in the air), but now I do not unless it is absolutely necessary. For example, if a bug is crawling on me or lands on my skin. I find the "jar" method works best.
Chapter# 36, Book 26, Number 5567:
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: An ant had bitten a Prophet (one amongst the earlier Prophets) and he ordered that the colony of the ants should be burnt. And Allah revealed to him:” Because of an ant’s bite you have burnt a community from amongst the communities which sings My glory.”

No... because how you described it seemed somewhat symptomatic. Telling, though.

That's a great quote.
