Re: Just Killed A Huge Cockroach
inna lilahi wo inna ilahi rajioon
thats a pre-emptive dua for the next cockroach that comes in my sight...I killed another big one last night...my FIRST day back from Colorado...I thought you guys were making dua for me, so messed up
Do you guys know if those electric signal things work? Like that Riddex commercial you see...where it sends these electric signals through the walls which is supposed to rid your place of bugs? Thanks

Re: Just Killed A Huge Cockroach
I hate when I find a bug in my room and it escapes before I am able to catch/kill it. I'm not able to sleep that night. I'd have to go sleep in another room.

Re: Just Killed A Huge Cockroach
i dont have roaches. you know what i have? squirrels. yes thats right squirrels. they climb up the fire escape, make their way to the roof and somehow burrow their way into the attic. I can hear them running around and scratching the ceiling. I used to be afraid they would find a way into my room but they respect my space; im glad we have an understanding

My parents had a squirrel problem one summer. One of them would climb up to my parents's bedroom window, and start nibbling on the window netting. It made a giant hole in it, and they had to get it replaced.

Dude, you don't get bugs because it's freakin' COLD in Canada! I used to live in Washington State, and I never saw any big bugs. But now that I'm in Texas, I see HUGE... RED... (sometimes) FLYING cockroaches, and they are SO SCARY!!! My exterminator comes 4 x per year. From the way people describe the bugs in Pakistan and Lebanon, I'm thinking it's just the hot weather that does it... bleecchhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Just Killed A Huge Cockroach
assalamu alaykum
we saw one last night our our way out by the car. I went up to it to see if it'd run away....it didn't. I moved away with the understanding that it was a do-not-mess-with-me bacteria ridden thing. Then the husband is like..'wait, let me try' and he moves towards it and stamps his foot near it...then the cockroach runs towards him and we ran into the car.

Why would you kill it? It wasn't even in the house.

ah maybe i shouldnt have posted that He was going to kill it but i reminded him it'd just leave all its eggs if he did. So it's better to flee from the vermin if you cant exterminate it, no?
variable: it's right outide our house

Well, I don't like to kill things... if there's a bug or spider in my house, I remove it safely.
I've only killed one cockroach in my life. It was b-lining for my backpack so I had to take it out before it got there (it was actually this really great shot from across the room )
