The first thing you have to do is deprive them of food, and spaces to hide, ie. clean your house. Then you have to be exceptionally careful when you prepare food to clean up carefully afterwords, seal food containers etc.
Once you've done that, spraying is much more likely to work. My sister worked for an exterminating service at one time.  |

Okay, true story.
A family friend was moving to another apartment and for some reason wanted to leave his freezer in our home for a few days. After he dropped it off, we started noticing little bugs crawling around within a few hours. Turned out there were colonies of those little suckers living under the shell of the freezer. My dad is a major roach enemy, he would turn out the lights, let the little buggers think it was night so theyd come out in armies and then he'd turn the light on again and ATTACK LIKE HELL. He got rid of them in 2 days. That was the first and last time we saw roaches in our home. So, so, so, so GROSS. 
Also, the thought of being invited to a dawat in a home infested with roaches. KILL ME.
and I just cringed like 5 times typing that  |

There was a cockroach crawling on the floor once and my grandpa caught it between his toes and killed it haha gross.

Neither was your suggestion to clean the house...you said that as if you had seen my house..
we get rodents/insects/rabbits/etc. because my house is literally yards away from open fields..not because of uncleanliness

good luck, bud. shes right. if its a female roach u killed, ur going to be reattacked by a herd of them pretty soon.
now u have a new dua to make. that it wasnt a female and that theres no eggs getting ready to hatch up on u.
