The GAYJAY Thread
GayJays. What are they? Where do they come from?
Who knows, but it is an awesome word. I love using it. It's one of those words that can be used in any situation, to mean almost any possible thing.
You're probably where the word came from. Me and Jaysh made it up. Don't listen to anyone who tries to claim they invented it. They're just being totally un-gayjay.

I made the word up back in 1992. It was a nickname for a friend, Gaylord Jaymeson.

Okay correction, me and Jaysh made it up, and Shotgun came up with it completely independently of us to describe his friend with the unfortunate name. But no one else made it up.

Although I did acknowledge the wittiness of "GayJay", I do not see the term having any longevity like Jaysh's catch phrase "chicks, hot chicks" or Jinzz's patented "buttmonkeys".
This ["gayjay"] will be a term we use today and maybe tomorrow, but the day after it will be forgotten. It will not grace the pages of Islamica's hall of fame, nor will it enter into the Islamicano Lexicon.
I do appreciate Jam's efforts to initiate a J Trinity Revival.

Haha, it's funny how it started too...I was making a website...and it was a pretty strict religious website, with black banners, shahada and swords and all, etc...and I was getting help from a friend who was teaching me how to make websites...so he showed me how to create a link, and he labeled the link "chicks, hot chicks"...I found it so hilarious based on the fact that it completely clashed with the website...so yeah, that's when I raised the slogan "chicks, hot chicks" and the rest is--as they say--Islamican history. |
