Yeah, there was a whole discussion on this on the forum it was originally posted in, the author is black so all the good horses have black names, and all the bad horses have white names.
(Apparently since it first appeared on somethingawful.com, this book seems to have become quite popular, i just googled, and there seems to be a huge fan following.)
