Re: The Party Planner
having a small nikkah done at the masjid sounds like a plan... dont care much for blowing so much money i could spend on a honeymoon/traveling or saving for a house. and id rather not be in center of a huge gathering

Re: The Party Planner
we paid about $50/head for around 350 people + $3,000 for decorations (flowers, stage, aisle, chaircovers, center pieces, favors) + $3,000 for photographer/videographer + mehndi hall and its decorations and catering + mayoun decorations and feeding everybody + wedding dress + buttload of jewelry + gifts for like the whole khandaan + clothes clothes clothes + invitations
so yea... i don't think bud is that far off for the whole figure of around 100K..

i guess if you factor all that in it makes sense. god. that's almost 50k or more gone on a single day where you do nothing but sit on the stage. everyone eats your amazingly expensive food, plants themselves on your expensive chair covers and then goes home and talks about how they could have cooked better food for 10 per plate/your suit clashed horribly with the decor/your suit was ugly/you were ugly/the groom looked better than the bride...just imagine.. you could spend that money on a beautiful honeymoon, or give it to a charity, make a down payment on a house...

I mean really, if all they are going to do is complain about how crappy everything was, then why not give them something to complain about, and HAVE A CHEAP CRAPPY WEDDING??? Some people.
