Truckers' stop deep in the heart of Virginia.

I think they liked what they saw.

Re: Wackiest place you've prayed
Hallway at my college with a couple other Muslims. It was a big hallway, so myself and some brothers just set up some prayer rugs by the wall and performed Asr salaat with people walking by us and everything.
I would never pray in public like that by myself (at least until my iman is really high). However, I will pray anywhere when I'm with a group of Muslims.

Re: Wackiest place you've prayed
In a room full of mini Hindu deity statues and pictures .
But I moved them all out of my eyesight of the direction I was praying in. That's okay right ?

Yeah, that's allowed. I heard you can pray in church, etc just as long as you move any statues and firgures out of the direction you're praying in, so that way you're not praying to the figure.

hahahahahaha.
one time my friend prayed in a movie theater. AMC. you know the normal hallways that lead to diff movie theaters..yea. right after we got out of a movie. i thought it was weird so i didnt and wanted to go home and pray but she was all into it. i kinda kept trying to walk around her so no one really noticed what she was doing.. luckily it wasnt that busy so there werent that many ppl paying attention to her.

Re: Wackiest place you've prayed
In an airport departure lounge.
In a corner of a restaurant (it was a designated prayer space so maybe it wasn't that wacky).

Re: Wackiest place you've prayed
Two wackiest plaaces in my life I've ever prayed:
December 31st, 1999: Me and my dad were driving cross-country from California all the way up to Toronto, Canada. It was during Ramadan and of course we said hey, lets travel and fast at the same time. We were in Oklahoma that night, right before new century's eve. We stopped on the side of the deserted highway outside some city, it might have been Tulsa but I can't remember, and there was this wooden structure on the side, it was like some old roadside 1950s' style diner, and it seemed abandoned ... peeling paint and shattered glass. All dark, no lights, not even on the highway. The only lighting was the very faint starlight and the residual ambience coming from the city, the outskirts of which were several miles to the west. The front porch was spacious and clean so me and my dad lay down a sheet and prayed Isha'. We were in sujoud when the ball came down and the fireworks went off.
Summer 2003: We were all driving down the east coast to Florida to visit family and friends. We stopped somewhere in hick country ... either VA or NC ... and prayed Maghrib outside in a Pizza Hut parking lot. Afterwards I went inside to order pizza for my family and the girl at the counter was acting kinda funny .. blushing and giggling .. so I look her straight in the eye and say "whats up?" and she goes "I saw you guys outside and that's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life." So I told her a bit about Islam and Muslims, took my pizza and then told her I'd see her later.
