Common Phobias and WHATS YOURS?
Different Kinds of Phobias
What kind of you Phobias do you have? http://www.designedthinking.com/Fear...d/defined.html
At work, I realized that I have one of the social anxiety disorders, where I have no fear of public speaking, discussions etc al hamdoulilah, however if I am about to speak to someone one on one one, I get butterflies. this probably has a fancy name in the psychotherapist's disorder directory, can't be bothered to look up it..
Feel free to share your phobias and how you deal with it.

Re: Common Phobias and WHATS YOURS?
I've got:
1) claustraphobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
2) Fear of corpses/skeletons
3) Fear of being by myself in public places
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Re: Common Phobias and WHATS YOURS?
I have a fear of heights - Acrophobia.
It sucks, I'm fine if I have a high wall in front of me or something like that, but when I get scared, I actually feel like I'm falling.

Re: Common Phobias and WHATS YOURS?
Urophobia* Fear of urine - the act of urinating in a public rest room, the fear of others hearing the process of urinating. Often accompanied with low self-esteem or linked in with social phobias.
Oh my Allah there is an actual title for this?! Since childhood then, I have always had Urophobia. I HATE HATE HATE using public rest rooms because of the given reason above. We once drove down to FL and when my parents realized I hadn't used the bathroom not once, despite eating/drinking, for over 23hrs, they forced me to use it. I just hate it so much. Working kinda made me get over it, but I still position myself in such a way as to make no noise. Out of habit, I would purposely try to buffer the noise by messing around with the toilet paper.
Oh don't even get me started on using the bathroom over someone's house. Ahhhhhhh.
Its official, I'm a freak.

Yeah, I got that too. I get really nervous whenever I have to give a presentation for class. I start messing up on words, sweating, etc. Very uncomfortable position

I'm the opposite. When I was little I tried to pee as loud as I could, and then I'd run out and ask everyone if they heard me
(okay not just when I was little )

Re: Common Phobias and WHATS YOURS?
I used to be severely claustrophobic...Possibly from being locked in a trunk by my brother, getting my head sat on by my brother, or being zipped up completely in a sleeping bag by my brother...
I think I'm over it now though

Dude I'm the same way... (except with cute girls of course). I can take on a whole stadium full of people, but put me next to one super cute girl and I'm saying dumb things and walking into signs etc.
