Feel Good Holiday Stories
One November evening, my sister stopped at Aldi's (no frills grocery store) to pick up some things on her way home. Now at Aldi's you need a quarter to get a cart and she didn't have one so she had to put all the things in her arms. She finally made it to the counter struggling with the grocery. She handed the cashier her card but Aldi's doesn't take credit and my sister did not know her pin number for the debit card (typical) aaaand she doesn't have any cash on her.
So she steps aside and calls her husband to ask the pin number. He doesn't answer. She tries again. He doesn't answer again. Great, she's going to be embarassed again.
Then she says to the cashier "oh umm...I'm gonna go look for money in my car" when really she's just going to drive away.
The cashier says "don't worry, it's already been taken care of"
And my sister says "what? huuuh?"
"Yeah, that lady paid for it"
The nice lady is already on her way out, and my sister lunges towards her "wait, I'll pay you back, what's your name?"
"Mary
....
...
....
....
(wait for it)
,,,,
...
Christmas"
I just hope the lady didn't spend half her pay-check on my sister's groceries. If not, my sister should have gotten the lobster.
sorry if i changed my tenses in the middle.

Re: Feel Good Holiday Stories
That's sweet. Couldn't have been too many things anyway, if she was carrying them all in her arms. I mean, you'd give that much to charity anyway. So might as well pay for somebody's groceries.
Though I think it makes more sense to buy groceries for somebody who can't afford them otherwise. And also, it's dumb to forget your PIN number. Unless you have two or three accounts, in which case it's understandable.
