anyone, i know there has to be some? why haven't you learned if you don't know how and are you ever gonna try again? i know that it must be harder to put yourself on the line as you get older, but i would hope we are able to take the laughing that will occur better now that we are a bit older.

I learned when I was young, though I haven't been on a bike in ages. I am glad I learned young because even though I know how, just imagining that I didn't, I find it to be a very scary and intimidating. Coordination, balance, and timing. Is it easy to learn? It's def. not terribly hard but it takes time and umph.

Yes, I don't know how to ride a two-wheeled bike. All I know is that four-wheeled one. And I don't think I'm going to actually bother learning now, because I don't have the time or need to. Plus, my backyard is the only place where I'll be able to ride one anyway.

I don't know, but I never got around to learning properly. I tried a few times when I was younger [I remember] but I guess I didn't try hard enough and there wasn't anyone to teach me properly.

I did have lessons when I was around 16 but the guy teaching me kept trying to kiss me when showing me how, so I 'gave up' merely to escape his amorous ways.

In a bitter sweet irony I wanted to visit this remote place in Tasmania not too long ago, but every [remote] adventure I wanted to tackle, involved hours of cycling.

They should have Sherpas in Tassie for cycling-challenged people like me.

If you don't know how to ride a bike, you should learn. It's one of the best things in the world! And it's not too hard to learn. My uncle taught me when I was a kid in just a few hours and honestly, I can't imagine what my childhood would have been like if I hadn't had a bike to ride. I was such a tomboy. My elbows and knees have all the scars to show it too.

But one thing I didn't learn was how to swim.
I'm gonna learn though, I swear. Once I find some time and an all-women's place and a female instructor. But now I'm so adamant that my younger siblings and cousins learn to swim. 'Cause I feel like I'm missing out. Plus, it's a skill, right? You never know when you're gonna need it.

bicycling is fun and a great way to excercise, but swimming is much more important. There is a hadith about the Phophet Mohammed saying, "Teach your children swimming, archery and horseback riding.” I think we can add dog paddling as swimming...it counts yea community pools can suck, but if your near an ocean, after you've learned, theres nothing better!

I was boogie-boarding one day, and as i was taking this wave, i felt another surge of water right next to me pushing me, and i turned my head right and saw this fin and dark body riding the wave next to me! I was sooo scared, alhumdillah it was just a dolphin trying to ride the wave also. It was so close i could have touched it, but i wasn't about to leave any extremities in the open...even if it was just a dolphin!

I didn't learn until last year. For some reason I had a dream where I picked up a bike and rode it, and one day last year I decided to take my bro's bike and ride it, well, I learned how to and I've gone biking several times in the summer, a couple of times with my bros so I'm glad I plucked up the courage and said "who cares what others think" and went.
