Miserable people
no reason to explain why. no reason to feel like a freak for feeling like a freak. this thread is for you to feel miserable with your own kind without any further justifications required for being so. and no guilt tripping by anybody about you feeling it. just come here and be.

Re: Miserable people
A Mu'min should always be grateful and say alhamdulillah whether things are going his way or not.
We don't despair, nor should we wallow in self-pity because whatever happens to us, happens to us, for a reason.
Allah swt never burdens a soul with more than he can bear.
The Prophet sallAllahu alaihi wassallam said:
“If some misfortune befalls you, do not say:‘ If only I had done such and such… ' Instead say: ‘ Allah's decree and whatever He wills He does. ' Truly, the words ‘if only …' open the way for Satan's handiwork.”

Indeed all those things are true, but depression still happens. What you said are things to remember when you feel depressed to try and break out of the funk.
Despair, self-pity are all valid feelings that everyone feels from time to time. Sadness at events that happen in ones life are also natural. If one can't control the feelings and can't think positively, then one needs to seek treatment for the depression and move on. Depression is an illness, and has treatments. You aren't sinful if you feel depressed.

Re: Miserable people
misery is a darn good muse. isn't it almost a prereq. to creating something? art must owe a lot to misery. i love the word "commiserable" and the idea even more.

Re: Miserable people
you what sucks about being miserable (i mean in addition to all the other general miserableness), how retarded your sleep habits get. i ain't slept normally in years. you try to tell yourself it's cool at first, like batman or dracula. yeah sure you're a vampire. right. minus the leather jackets. then you realize you're just up late all the time and can't get yourself seein' day light for the life of you. i mean here or there maybe. maybe. and the headaches that come with that are a beauty and joy all their own. also, only dumb jerks are online at 3:42 in the morning. my own people, i know, and yet i diss them this way. sorry folks. but anyway, why pretend, all us nightwalkers know we're really just miserable up at night shmoes.

Re: Miserable people
when i was in grade 10, my computer science teacher taught us a strategy to fight off "misery" and "sluggishness", he advised to crack our own jokes secretively...By remembering the funniest jokes and laughing at them will help elevate some distress...it is important to note we should not wait for someone to cheer us up...rather learn to cheer urself up!...since then i look for the funny side of the world, keep myself happy al hamdoulilah..
I think that's the only thing I learned from his class...the programming flew over my head: LOL
