wow..that is so easy and yet it looks like its complicated to make since it looks soo yummy.

I made a Mediterranean Sandwich for lunch. It included Red Roasted Pepper Hummus, Crisp Romain Lettuce, Sweet Roasted Peppers, Pepper Jack cheese ( i couldn't find fetta cheese). put all this on a multigrain bread, it turned out to be good. here's what it looked like (from my cell camera).

I just made this..because I saw a jar of tostidos cheese salsa in my pantry and I wanted to do something with it..came out pretty good, and it only took like 15 minutes. Its good for those times you need something fast, and the ingredients are always around the house, so no groceries neccssary:

Salsa Cheese Pasta

1 Jar Tostidos Cheese Salsa(medium)
1/4 c Chicken Broth
4 Tbsp heavy cream or evaporated milk
1 Tbsp chilli sauce
1 Tbsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic/ginger paste
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1 Box Pasta

Boil the pasta in salt water. As it boils dump all the other ingredients into a saucepan and mix on med-low. When the pastas done, drain the water out and toss it with the cheese sauce.

I made gulab jamun they turned out really yummy, alhamdulillah.

Just one problem…I don’t know why, but the syrup started to crystallize and became a bit lumpy.

Oh well, but they were delicious

this thread makes me chuckle sometimes. i've been cooking for almost 10 years now, and i still think i'm a pretty mediocre cook. but to each their own, i guess.

i have a variety of vegetables left over in the fridge from this weekend...bbqs and brunches, galore. but now i'm trying to figure out what to do so that i can use them all up in one go.

here's what i have:

a bunch of asparagus
a bunch of green onions
about 3/4 of a container of mushrooms
three red potatoes
one large tomato

this is what i'm thinking:

1. some sort of pasta variety. i have whole wheat pasta and spaghetti sauce in my cupboard. i can just stir fry the vegetables, stir fry in the pasta, and then add pasta sauce. simple.

2. thai curry with the vegetables diced/stir fried in.

3. get some more potatoes and use the above to make a filling for puff pastry shells.

4. use them to make vegetable sides for a main dish - i'm thinking broiled salmon?

i've already made dinner for tonight, so no rush for the suggestions. thanks in advance, though - share more ideas if you have them

i've been cooking for about two years..so i'm not so good at it..but i try my best. some of my recipes are a hit while the others a miss..and i'm very critical of my own cooking.

btw..this sounds good: 2. thai curry with the vegetables diced/stir fried in.

can you share the recipe for this please?
