Yea, this lady saw we were done eating..(we were finishing up our drinks) and she went over to the guy in the front and asked him to ask us if we're done so can we get up from the seats. So the guy comes to us and asks us if everything is good and if we would like to have our stuff packed. And one of our friend was like..he's kicking us out and i was like wth? So as we try to leave the woman is standing there watching us and doesnt even say thank you. so rude.

Many countries have a form of burek so i dont believe any country can claim orginality ( Think bakalava)

how was your get-together? wat did you end up making?

-------

i made chicken sandwich mixed with carrots, onions, green bell peppers, italian seasoning, garlic, mayo, ketchup. first i boiled the chicken in water w/salt then put the cooked pieced in food processor, added all the above ingredients. it turned out very yummy. this will be my lunch tomorrow.

i also made zucchini sabzi (which turned out really good) and i'm currently in the process of making minestrone soup.

i also baked a loaf of strawberry coconut angel cake. it was alright.

Thanks for asking Asvi! It was just a few people, so I kept it simple:

Spinach and mushroom strata (like a quiche, but layered with bread too)
Roasted squash, tomato and onions with balsamic vinegar
Corn, avocado and tomato salad
Sweet potato wedges (like oven-baked fries)
Watermelon
Fruit pizza

My mom just cooked this awesome chicken-okra dish. I usually hate okra, but it was so delicious the way she cooked it.

Chicken Wings

(I made up this recipe, because I looove buffalo wings, but I don't like eating fried food. So I wanted to make them in a pot. They come out REALLY good, but since I did it just like tht, there's no proper measurement..ill try my best to give measurements, but whn ure making them keep in mind these arnt exact measurements.)

Ingredients

Chicken Wings
Paprika
Mustard
Vinegar
Salt
Ketchup
Soy Sauce
Some type of buffalo wing/hot sauce
Garlic/ginger paste
Oil

Wash the chicken, then put it in a big bowl filled with water and 1/2 cup vinegar and let it sit in there for abt an hr(this way the vinegar soaks in and evn the meat inside gets flavored), drain the water out, but dnt rinse the wings off.

Take about 1 tbsp garlic ginger paste and mix it into the chicken. Then pour like, a quarter cup of soy sauce, 1/8(or a litl less) cup of ketchup, 2 tbsp of mustard and a lotttt of the buffalo wing sauce. Prob most of the bottle. Add a tspn of paprika and a litl salt. Add a little bit of vinegar and about 2 tbspn of oil. Mix it really well. U can add some pepper as well if u want--i dnt rem if I did or not

Let it sit for 45 min. Then dump it into a pot(w all the marinade) and let it sit on med-low on the stove. The wings will cook on their own. And they won't be fried, so u won't die of a heart attack either
