Re: The Art of Cooking
i havent been cooking anything 'new' lately..same old stuff
made fried chicken yesterday..was pretty good tho i barely ate any. too much oil.
i just got done cooking whole wheat penne....my second shot at cooking whole wheat pasta in my life..the past attempt was nowhere near successful..but this time ive pretty much drowned out the whole wheat taste..however that was accomplished via unhealthy ingredients
i totally made up my own recipe. im sure it exists somewhere
basically threw in lemon juice, a few tbsps of milk, a little too much butter, lemon pepper, garlic powder wiht parsley in a pan and made a sauce out of it all...then cooked the penne and drowned it in the sauce...threw in some olive oil and garlic tomato sauce..just a little tho not too much sauce..green stuffed/spanish olives, and freshly chopped parsley.. shredded mozeralla
mixed it up on a low heat and voila.
it's pretty good if i may say so myself but it's unhealthy because of the butter sauce. i know it doesnt sound like there was too much butter in it..but the amount of pasta wasnt that much in proportion to the butter...so it was a lot of butter.
anyway one important point to note is that if you ever want to cook whole wheat pasta, pick penne. because it traps the sauce or anyting else you throw in there inside of it so each bite of it is ridden with the flavors of whatever youve chosen to cook with it..with any other thick whole wheat pasta you may not be able to get rid of the whole wheat after taste so easily

Re: The Art of Cooking
So I'm at my parents house, home alone, cause they all went camping this weekend. As such, there's like no food in the house. But I couldn't afford to get something, so I put a whole bunch of my favorites together and wrapped it up. It ended up being so kick ass. I got some ground beef, black olives, roasted red peppers, green bell peppers, red onions, pinto beans, a little tomato sauce, random hot spices, and left over rice from last night. The tortilla wrap came out so crunchy.
Next time I want to have cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top before wrapping it up and then I also want some salsa and sour cream to dip it in.

That's weird. Probably because of the seating issue there. It sucks. Its always packed and no matter what, you always end up getting in a fight with other customers over seats.
