Re: The Art of Cooking
asslaamu alaykum
does anyne have the salan that goes with the biryani...? I was thinking my biryani was getting a tad boring!
I'm coking ma'luba again tomorrow. I need to learn new dishes as I AM TIRED OF RICE. Maybe an especially beautiful salan? vegetable and chicken? either really.
thank you

Yeah....my mom made it once and it tasted like crap.
My mom went to Pak for a few months last year ...lets just say the worst period of my life.
I gained fat the first time in my life eating junkfood

I dont understand the rationale behind people's dislike of body parts such as kaleyjee and payee. They're halal and clean body parts after all just like legs, limb, arms, etc. of halal animals.

1. No interest...therefore no motivation
2. Takes too much of my time. I'd rather work an extra hour and make 20 bucks and dine at a fine restaurant...
3. Officially banned from cooking in the kitchen. The thought of me being in the kitchen to cook horrifies my mom to such an absurd extent that she comes down n takes over...i burned down the kitchen once a while back
I can make amazing breakfast, tuna and grill sandwiches for lunch...but thats about it.

Well, you said that it was the worst period of your life and that you gained weight from all the junk you were eating so learning to cook would be a logical choice. But $20 isn't going to get you fine dining!

I beg to differ. I suppose it varies from locale to locale, but $20 just got me a delicious, hearty meal at an Iranian restaurant yesterday, with the most tender beef I've had in very, very long time.

It can get you good food, but not what's typically considered fine dining.
