Re: The Art of Cooking
Warming food is not cooking..hahah...boys.
Anywho...what rice brand do ya'll use?
I was using Royal Basmati Rice, but just bought Kohinoor Basmati Rice. I cooked it yesterday, it was good, it didn't end up getty mushy at all.

Okay, I usually use this one:
Indian Non - Vegetarian Recipes : Butter Chicken
But I also looked at some others online and mixed and matched. That's usually how I cook... I look at a bunch of recipes for one thing to try to understand the basic process... and then I just make my own adjustments/substitutions from there, depending on what I have on hand. For example, the Syvum one calls for cream, but we never have any, so I use more yogurt and it's perfectly okay. *shrug* Also, this one says you can add food colouring to make the chicken reddish orange, but some other recipes don't say that. So I used the advice from this one and used a little bit of food colouring.
