on the shan box it says after you put it in the cream and butter then serve.
ok, so this is what i did, after i put in cream and butter, i turned the heat to medium and cooked the chicken for another 10 mins or until the liquid almost disappeared. There was too much gravy for me. and now the chicken tastes good. i wouldn't compare it to Shalimar butter chicken, but its deff. edible.

Re: The Art of Cooking
abcdgirl: the magicbullet is good for quick, easy things -- i use it for homemade garlic-ginger pastes, chutneys, grating cheese (the hard kind like parmesean), grinding coffee beans, frothing hot milk, smoothies etc. it's a good thing it comes with a lot of different containers because mixing all those different smells would be kind of gross.
but it definitely doesn't compare to the kitchenaid food processor -- i still use that for things like making hummus, preparing meat for koftay, and the like.

Have you ever tried to do guacamole in it? I can't seem to do it without getting everything stuck near the top of the container, and the blades just spin around paste-ifying everything at the bottom. I even hit the thing against the counter to try and knock it down...
All I do is make my exercise smoothies with it.

Re: The Art of Cooking
i dont know what i just made..but i made it and was good
i didnt know what to make for dinner ..i didnt want to make desi food ..so with a
box of noodles sitting in the closet, fat free cream cheese, leftover cauliflower, tomatoes and chicken pieces..i sauteed chopped onions in some oilve oil..added chopped cauliflower, and one chopped tomatoe and a little water...I let that simmer for a litte...while that was happening i boiled some chicken and boiled water for some rotini noodles to cook...then added about half cup of cream cheese to the onion mixture, and some more water, a little milk powder, salt, parsley, oregano, vegetable boullian cube, and a little paprika, and black pepper..after the chicken was cooked i added the broth to the sauce, shredded the chicken pieces and dumped them in the sauce...then mixed it with the cooked noodles..and topped it off with birishta
i guess this is the twisted version of chicken alfredo + green bean casserole combined

dude, so true, guacamole is a pain to do in the magic bullet, i don't even bother anymore. the only way it wouldn't get stuck near the top of the container is to make it watery, and that would be gross
i've had good results making extra creamy guacamole in my mini food processor, but it's kind of a pain to take out and then clean it. i usually just end up convincing myself that chunky fork mashed guacamole is way better so i don't have to pull out the machine

Re: The Art of Cooking
assalamu alaykum
The last thing i cooked was the stuffed peppers. The meat here tastes ODD. SO strong, almost tasted raw! I haven't tastes raw meat, only raw liver. Might even substitute it with chicken, though I didn't taste it last time cos the freezer acted up...
I'm going to make biryani tomorrow insha Allah

Dear God!
Those things are the scariest things you'll ever find in a kitchen. They mutate into funky looking fat little monsters with a lot of limbs
