Even just half a spaghetti squash makes an awful lot of 'spaghetti'.......... and so freaking good. I'm still full and it's been hours.

I know this sounds a little crazy and weird, but I actually often combine asian+italian stuff and have little adventures with my whole wheat pasta. It turns out pretty good for the most part. A friend made this and recommended to others. So I'm gonna give it a shot.

Good luck! Hope it goes well.

So I've been listening to this program on NPR. It's so epiccc. ALLLLLL about food. Food in history, literature, during war time, food in diff cultures, etc etc etc

Other than that she talks about a lot of other things like recipes or tips/tricks etc

HIGHLY recommend it.

I posted this a while back, I think it's really good and quite simple, too.

Fried Rice

2 eggs
1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cups cooked rice
4 scallions, chopped, including green ends
2 cups diced cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables
1 slice ginger, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Put first 3 ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir slightly;
the eggs should not be well beaten. Heat wok or pan until hot and dry. Add the oil. Brown the garlic and ginger slightly, then add the rice. Cook for 2−3 minutes, stirring
to break up lumps and coat with oil. Add the rest of the ingredients except the egg mixture. Fry and stir constantly until thoroughly mixed. Add the egg mixture while stirring the rice so it will cover as much of the ingredients in the pan as possible. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve while hot.

thanks! i found a recipe online and just used that. it came out really good, alh but it was a bit too peppery for my liking. [It asked for 1 teaspoon and your's asks for 1/8th..should have went with yours]

will post pics when i get a chance.

edit- also i made perfect white rice today. it didn't clump or come out mushy, alh. i think im finally [sort of] getting the hang of cooking.

I made oven-roasted Tandoori Chicken last night, and served it with basmati rice and masoor ki daal (brown lentils). It was very healthy and quite delicious too.
