i want to work out this month, but its sooo hard. im used to doing pretty intense work outs, and i drink 2-3 litres of water while at the gym. i wont be able to do it while im fasting, and its too late after iftar (my gym closes at 10)

I'm considering it.
I do. It's really not that bad. Just drink LOTS of water before and after iftar and eat a lot of protein. I did spinning for an hour yesterday and although I did let easy on myself a tad, I still did it pretty hard and I was fine. For suhur that day, I had about 32 ounces of water (wanted more but I ran out of time) and I drink who knows how much after iftar. I also had 2 eggs, a small tofurky sandwhich, and a toasted low glycemic bread. It's not as bad as it seems, I promise.

I'm so out of shape. Walking helps. I don't want bulky muscular arms, what kinds of workouts can I do to get rid of my bats arms?! [no push ups please]

You're welcome. Jumping rope for ten minutes can make you lose a ton of calories...I don't know how much but I know it's a lot

Any kind of workout. You won't build bulky arms unless you lift heavy weights. If you lose tons of body fat you'll give the impression of being muscular but its the lack of body fat letting your natural muscles poke through.

If you jump rope be sure to so it on a padded surface so you don't damage your ankles and knees. If you want to lose your arms you need to do fat burning exercises, high interval training (you can do that on a jump rope). Exercising the specific areas won't do anything but give you bulky arms.

The best way is to do intense skipping for 3-4 rounds at first.

I do the wimpy 12 minute pilate workout from a DVD I have, and it works well for me, as I want to just stay toned, however for you, you may want to find a Pilate workout that is a bit more intense.

But generally, It should help you retain muscle mass, though I wouldn't suggest men to use it to build alot of muscle mass.

Fi AmanAllah
I watched a few vids on it..its not intense enough for me.

Jumping Rope calories counter

For 100 lb person, jumping rope moderately for 10 minutes, that's about 80 calories.

Here is a general calorie counter. Inputs include weight, height, age, gender and many exercises.

So i'm trying something called dips. "tricep dips" as my sister puts it. They're harder than they look.
