I bet the training plan is highly inaccurate. Plans should be done based on how good the physical condition of the body is and routines adjusted accordingly. Otherwise it'll mess up your timing and you won't be ready for the half marathon...

The training plan was probably meant as a guideline and not something to follow mile for mile...

yup, when carbs run out you get weak muscles which result in what she said about injury

well... yes. however it takes into accout my current performance etc..so it's not that inaccurate. and i'm following it to the dot because i'm doing a lot of other stuff in the gym anyway..not just this stuff..plus. if i followed my own trainiing plan (which i suck at making up) then i always end up pushing myself too much on the day i feell like i have energy and i get hurt and cant do anything for weeks..not worth it

What I meant was that a computer program is dumb as in it can't figure out when you need what. Sometimes your body might tell you that you're pushing too hard and so you slow down. Other times it'll tell you your feeling great and to go all out if you want. If you follow the program to the dot then you might end up pushing yourself when you shouldn't and relaxing when it's better to do some interval training or something.

For cyclists if the program tells him to sprint during a training program but his body doesn't cooperate with the necessary output, then it tells him it's time to take a rest day. And so he does regardless of what the training schedule tells him.

So be careful cause you might still hurt yourself.

you can jogg on the street, or go to your neighborhood track, like at a school or something and jogg there.

Like I like scenery so I jog on the streets or something, but then I like jogging on the treadmill becausae you can see how much you burned and keeps you like motivated to keep going, and also you can control the speed and push yourself, unlike on the streets hardly anything is going to make yoiu want to go faster, well not me. :/

I didn't go to the gym today. My knee was aching. I don't think its from exercise though; I was wearing pretty high heals and on my feet for 6 hours.

Aching knees means your position on the bike isn't right. Make sure that when the pedal is at the bottom most point of the rotation, your leg is almost fully extended with your knee slightly bent. If your saddle is too low it could hurt your knees.

A sign of cycling too much is a severe loss of energy when you run out of water and food. Or when you can't produce any more power to pedal...

I'm still in search of the perfect bike and I'm not having any luck! Maybe it's because I'm being a cheapskate..

I worked out for 2 days last week and noticed a major difference in how I feel and even how i look. Because of homework, bad weather and a sick mr. jellymil (who is alhamdulillah much better now ) I haven't been to the gym after that. I think I've become even fatter than my 2-day gym stint. I felt guilty eating all today but I still had some of that damn mango ice cream (major weakness ).

I'm gonna be fat forever!

NO your not. You don't have to go to the gym to work out. YOu can find some simple fat busting exercises on the web. Watch what you eat cut the fatty foods and sugary foods and cut out sugary drinks, eat whole wheat bread..its made such a difference to me and my wifes energy and weight.

You should totally look into making Breakfast your biggest meal too...that helps a lot. Having a serving of ice cream every now and than as a reward will be fine as long as you work out enough to burn off the calories.
