im not taking summer classes and i quit my job like a month ago..so im chilling for the summer prettty much just doing things i like and stuff...but im going to most likely have a job very soon inshaAllah

and then things get hectic but it's just a matter of scheduling things around my gym classes not always easy but alhamdulillah its worked out so far. im usually pretty dead set on making it to the gym no matter what

Whats the ideal ratio for protein, carbs and vegetables in a main meal?

Anywho i cut out almost all sugar now..my wife too..we don't eat junk food anymore and gonna sign up for a gym and such..

I received THE best compliment last night. So my one friend playfully poked me on my side and to retaliate, a couple minutes later, I walked passed him and poked his arm. Then another time, I poked him again. He was like, "OWWW! You're like man-handling me. "

i know this is not a big deal on the whole "eating healthy thing"

but today I got my family to switch from whole milk to 2%! yay! and im going out running after dinner.

day 2 ( after previous relapse)


And i agree with sumiyia it sooo hard to be healthy and excerise when your working fulltime or in school.

I credit my ability to excerise to me being jobless right now.

Hey, even whole to 2% is a step.

It is challenging to keep up a healthy routine when you're busy with work and/or school. But, you just have to force yourself and gradually it will become part of your routine (really).

I've started drinking Soy Milk..its pretty good.

Anywho I ate pretty good yeasterday

Breakfast(5:30am): Morningstar farms sausage pattie on whole wheat Bread with cheese and a side of 2 scrambled eggs and a Banana and a bottle of water. 16oz cup of coffee and hazlenut sweetener

Lunch: Odwalla Superfood bar and a bottle of water

Dinner: Shrimp salad with a small amount of Pasta and water and whole wheat wrap

Snack later on: Strawberry Parfait (i made it myself with Strawberries, Low Fat Plain Yoghurt and granola)

Snack way later on: Tofurkey Kaibasa on whole wheat bread and pretzels and 6 choco covered raisns. (my wife had half a peanut butter jelly (no sugar jelly) on whole wheat bread instead of the tofurkey)

I also ran for a mile and walked half a mile.

cool, mA go revert!! soymilk rocks. what kind do you get? MY FAVORITE in the world is Silk vanilla


ahhhhhhh in other news, today i went weights + step class + yoga...I GOT THROGUH AN ENTIRE HOUR OF YOGA WITHOUT wanting to drop out from the slowness..this instructor, first time taking her all the way through is AMAAAAAAAAAZING. shes like the pro-est of pro. she is like SOOOOO zen in the houseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee man. and her music is amazing. and her instruction manner IS SOOOO incredibly fluid..makes me realize how crappy the other classes ive taken have been..this was REALLLLLLLL yoga. and then afterwards i felt like 5 million dollars...just amazing mashaAllah..its like all the tension is released from within you...just a really really indescribable feeling

so im gonna start becoming strict about it inshaAllah...this yoga thing. 2-3X a week..this lady teaches twice at my club so i can catch her twice and then the other lady once i hope.

I can't remember the brand name but I got it from Whole Foods (a store which i now love!).

It's hard to find time to work out when you're working full-time and schooling full-time and working part-time on top of that.
When I go back to uni full-time, then I'm never gonna complain about not having time again.

Yoga is the best. My friend wants to take yoga again, 'cause we took it together last semester, but I'm working.

I havent worked out in so long. I feel unhealthy.

Khair, I'm waiting for finals to get done on the 12th, and then im officially on break insha'allah. will get back to my 'work-out' routine then. I tend to eat more when I need to study.

I fell off the wagon last week, only worked out once! I was pretty consistent for 2 months though. Back on this week, insh'Allah.
