The time I tried to lose weight by cutting back on food I truly did "cut back" instead of starving myself. I eat a lot when I'm bored so I have a lot of room to cut back...also, I dont really eat much junk alh, I just overeat with regular food.

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
My time wasn't that great: 2:33:16 (clock time was in the 2:40s, but it takes awhile to get to the official start). I wanted to do it in under 2 and a half hours, but I didn't account for things like waiting in line for the restroom and injuring my achilles in mile 7. My achilles is only starting to get better, and it's been three weeks!

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
I havent worked out in ages but for some reason I am still maintaining the weight loss alhamdulillah. My problem areas are arms and upper legs...they gain weight the fastest.
I have a question. I know a lot of women experience this problem. I am not particularly well endowed in the chest area. when I gain weight I gain it there first but when I lose weight it's the first place to go "flat" really fast. i also have a naturally flat stomach so it doesnt take much to fix that...but i dont want it all to be like one big ironing board. How do I prevent this? Sally?

my 10k time was 1:13, which i personally consider sort of terrible but considering it was my FIRST real event and i was nervous/kinda didnt know what to expect it's pretty good. also considering i didnt have headphones on..they apparently weren't allowed but a LOT of people wore them anyway and i was annoyed. otherwise im positive i could've done it faster. additionally, it rained the entire morning..lightly and semi hard..during the race it rained also and there were puddles of water everywhere and i had to be careful not to step in them and stuff.
anyway my 8k event is coming up this sunday. MAKE DUA GIRLS. i'm excited/nervous. it's supposed to rain again. i just dont know if it's gonna be humid or really wet during the race time or what.
