Any personal experience/comments on circuit training?

Womens gyms seem limited to only that.

Should I go for it or no?

if you do a sort of a detox and eat only fruits and veggies and boiled eggs and meat (unprocessed) and almonds/walnuts all day for 3 days

i've made the following changes:

gym everyday for half an hour (mostly cardio)
cut out the junk food, and added more fruits/veggies
and controlling my calories

i didn't think i'd see results so soon?

for people who make a drastic change in their diet/lifestyle yeah you can lose a few inches here and there pretty fast..but it's mostly like loss of water weight or weight that makes you feel bloated..from eating processed carbs before making all the changes..so anyway it's a sign that you're doing something right. keep it up

also depends when you measured urself..if you measured urself before after eating a meal and or while you were around your menstrual cycle and are measuring yourself 3 days later when its all over then youll also see a big diff

the best way to get an accurate measurement or weight is in the morning when you wake up and use the bathroom and before you have breakfast..for about 5 days straight. during the day your weight can fluctuate as much as about 10 lbs

sumi: like sally said it's probly loss of water...junk food with all those salts and stuff make you retain water. That's really awesome though mA

---

I went to the gym today FINALLY. I had a horrible start of the week with all-nighters and such and still havent caught up on sleep totally but I thought that if I keep telling myself I have to be fully rested to work out then I'm never getting to the gym (seeing as there are 2 weeks til finals). I spent 20 excruciatingly painful minutes on the elliptical, 5 minute cool down on the treadmill and did a bajillion crunches. Then I literally ran to class because I was late. In short, I was ready to die. Then after class I did some arm exercises at home. Oh, and I've been taking the stairs and ditching the bus for walking lately.. or at least trying to

I dont eat much junk food, after I started going to uni I've been eating healthier alhamdulillah. I used to try eating healthy at home but since I have a little brother who lives off junk food and a mom who wont stop buying it, it was hard. Now alhamdulillah I eat stuff like veggie hummus sandwiches for lunch and spinach sabzi for dinner with dried fruit and fresh fruit as snacks. I think the worst junk food I've had in a while is a small pineapple-coconut milkshake and some chocolate covered California raisins . I like burgers so I get Morning Star Griller's Original (they're soy. No more Bocas, so sick of those) and I like chips too so I get Baked Lays (hardly ever) or these things called Veggie Crisps which are chips made from tomatoes and spinach

i'm just happy i'm doing it the healthy way finally... alhamdulillah i don't think i want to lose more than a pound a week anyway. my biggest problem was getting discouraged when i didnt see the results i wanted right away, and then i'd give up on it altogether. but i've finally come to terms with the fact that its a life style change, and its not an overnight process.

I go to a woman's gym. I like the circuit training. It's a great way to stay toned. I am nervous that in a short time I will be past the highest level of resistance, since I started off on the 3rd/2nd to last. Maybe they'll give me other workout movements? I love to do the circuit after I do the treadmill & elliptical. It blends together so well.

A month update: Oki so I'm back to my usual 26in waist and loving it. I wouldn't mind losing another 1/2 inch in my waist but whatever. My arms are doing great, still need more toning though. As for my other regions...ugh won't even comment on those. Everyone says they see me losing inches but I don't. I did 30minutes on the treadmill, I thought I was going to bust my ass. The speed and the ever changing incline were tough. But I liked it. InshaAllah I'll keep at it for another couple days then change up.
