Is it bad for your knees if you use the treadmill for too long? I have a gazelle too but that makes me sort of stiff.

not sure if its 'bad' for your knees, but some people have issues with their knees and thats why they have switched to the elliptical.

Has anyone ever done a fitness boot camp program? I just saw a commercial for one in my area. I checked it out online and it looks good, but its $300 for 5-days a week for 4 weeks. There's another option: $189 for 3 days a week, 4 weeks. I dunno if I can afford it, but I would want to try a class out.

My little brother did, the results were good but you have to stick with the program after it's over for lasting results (obviously, and it's just better for you). They teach you a lot of neat stuff and really challenge you. He became more health conscious and lost some weight too.

eliptical about 3 times a week.
Now I understand.......because it wouldn't be right if you kept all the secrets to yourself

I've gotten sick before but not so much as to lose weight

It's so hard when you believe that you're doing a kick ass workout, real hardcore, everyone is telling you that they see changes, but when you get onto the scale you're heavier than when you freakin' started. What the freak?!

I know muscle weighs more than fat and since I barely had any fat to begin with, it's just my muscles toning up but it really is depressing to see my weight amount increase.

I hate scales. Scales are SHAYTAAN!

Good to know you're doing better restlesssoul.

Speaking of injuries, I dunno where to ask about this so I'll do it here and hope somebody can give me suggestions inshallah.

Last year before we were married my husband twisted his ankle during bball and it swelled up really huge. He couldnt walk on it and didnt go to the doctor until he realized weeks had passed and it was still swollen and sore (I bugged him so much to go ). So in Saudi the doctor told him he had a chipped bone and gave him meds and a brace and alhamdulillah it was fixed.

I told him whenever he plays bball he should wear an ace bandage or some athletic ankle support thing so he doesnt have ankle issues when he's older, but I guess he forgot. Last weekend he played bball and twisted it again, it was soooo swollen and painful. I put ice on it and elevated it but that's it. He still hasnt been to a doctor and on the third day claimed it didnt hurt anymore (he wasnt limping but it was still swollen) and now that he's overseas he said it's not swollen anymore but I dont believe him.

Could he have chipped it again or sprained it or something?

for sure, its a bad sprain. sounds alot like what happened last time. inshallah it'll heal quick.

I don't really sprain my ankles anymore playing ball mainly because i've learned, that once i start coming down on it and it just starts to twist, i completely though lamely crumple so i dont sprain it.

also especially since he has a history of it occuring its a decent chance that it may have happened again.
