lol speaking of man love for shoes..
today is my little bros birthday so i took him to the mall to this shoe store cuz he wanted shoes..and it was pretty much a guy shoe store. all athletic stuff too..they had the tiniest section for women. the music was reallly loud rap music and everyone working in there was male. i was all weirded out in there, and my brother was taking FOREVER to pick shoes out so i just sat and there was this guy helping him out who noticed that i was totally losing my patience..cuz then i was like, i cant believe it takes a guy this long to pick shoes..and the helper outter dude was like, i know right...us guys complain that you women take forever but when it's our turn, we take our time too. and then he was telling me my brother was taking close to no time, compared to the amount of time he's had so many older guys/men take..and i was like ok..and hes like, you know, how about you just go out and shop around and come back to pay for the stuff.

I bought a yoga mat for class today. They have some available at the gym, but I got a little weirded out because other people use those mats and they have no shoes on (hello fungus and other nasty germs  ). Anyway, I do not want to look like a total dumbo at my first yoga class, so I have decided to practice with some clips that I found on YouTube.
If anyone uses YouTube for yoga, please post some links. Thanks  !

I JUST ATE A TON OF CRAP. i am so disappointed in myself. worst meal ever. and on a monday night? jeez. i ate some crap on the weekend but weekend eating is justified..cuz weekends = cheatinfolyf

I went to the yoga class and some of the positions were so harddd! I had trouble moving from downward dog to plank. God I hate plank! I used to do that in my PhysEd methods course. Anyway, I really liked it. Hopefully, I'll get better at the moves and transitions.

I LOVE YOGA 4 LYF. but i do it maybe once every 2 months. it's really sad. i need to do more of it. it's just so slow sometimes..and puts me to sleep. but i guess that's the point...relaxation. i do stretch everyday tho..used to neglect it but now im paying more attention to it. stretching is realllly important.

I went to step class! I did pretty well, but I almost fell down and twisted/broke my ankle, but Alhumdulillah no harm, no foul. I wouldn't mind attending that class. Tomorrow's my favorite class though with the resistance ball  .

yayyyyyyyyy i love step.
the first time i took a beginner class.. i had bad shoes and busted my ankle.
but it's about 2 yrs later and ive gotten good. sooooo keep doin what you doin. i LOVE step. we have these extra choreographed classes  to hip hop music. WOOHOOO HIP HOP 4 LYF
in other news, i ate cheap white bread today. god help me. i feel disgusting.

Salllllllllly! I did that cardio/weight training/flexibility class today (the cardio is from step); however, before that I did the resist-a-ball thing. I was soooooooo sore during class. I really had to push myself  . Anyway they are changing some of the classes at my gym. They are adding one called "Butts-and-Guts"  and "Hardcore Abs". They are taking resist-a-ball away. Its my favorite  .

assalamu alaykum
I've put on 8-10 lbs in exactly 2 months. That's what happiness does to you  alhamdulilah.
oh, and er...Burger King...about 15 visits (or more) in 2 months. Sooo juicey mmmm meat. I think I'll lose about 5 lbs, cos i felt weak before. My first step is to cut out Burger King and such...THEN we'll talk about exercise if that doesn't work. I'll report back in 3 weeks insha Allah!

There's a yoga class from 7 to 8 tonight, I may go. I dunno yet. I really don't want to go to the gym tomorrow, so I may have no choice about today  .
