I've cut out coffee all together and started drinking green tea (no sugar). No soda/pop.

I walk for around 30 mins a day as I really don't need to lose any wieght or gain any, just exercise the heart.

The big change for me is I actually eat fruit now..i'm a loser i would never eat fruit but after my kidney thing i realized i need to eat healthy. I also drink a cool glass of cranberry juice.

Anything else? Suggestions?
sounds healthy to me...also a good mix of whole grains, fiber, vegetables and protein

Add 50 push ups and sit ups three times a week for muscle tone.

The trainer at my gym said the proportion of different food groups is important. If you have a palm size of protein, then you should have a fist size of carbs, and half your plate should be fresh veggies (or steamed etc.)

I use to have a massive steak, some rice, and a little handful of veggies - but as often as not it'd put me in a food coma. This is working out much better.

As for the water, just try to think of it regularly and drink even when you're not so thirsty. Mostly you can tell from the color of pee (dark yellow, not enough - really light and your good)

I also started seasoning my food with different things... for example instead of using my chile salt I'll use cayenne pepper and lime.

I haven't been to the gym since I left for Denver and I've been back for over a week . Anyway, iA I'm going to the resist-a-ball class and I'm going to follow that up with the cardio, strength training, and flexibility class. Pray I survive, iA .

Once you've changed your eating habits and are on a new diet, how do you control the hunger feeling once you've eaten the new proportions?

I'm slowly changing my diet now, but I feel sooo hungry and my tummy growls

Should I just eat more fruits or drink juice to end the hunger/cravings?

I found that eating more veggies helped (not more fruit). Not just leafy salads, but broccoli and carrots etc. Also, I have bucket of mixed nuts I grab for a snack... brazil nuts are the best.

Thanks! I'm just trying to get ideas so that I won't substitute junk food instead

Resist-a-ball was good, but when I got to the other class, which started immediately after resist-a-ball, I thought I was going to pass out. My chest was paining, but I refused to give up and walk out. I just stopped/slowed down where I thought I needed to. Alhumdulillah for a good workout .
