Um, well. In terms of my diet, I cut out junk entirely. And I'm trying to stay away from fatty foods in general . I've been eating a lot of protein though. Lots of water too.
And training: I dont do weights, I'm really not a fan of that. I do a lot of group fitness things with my friends at the gym. Usually yogalates, some other step stuff, and THE BALL.
I tried basketball and broke a nail, as girly as that may sound, I dont care. Never playing b-ball again.
I'm still a fatty though

THE BALL hey? hahaha
Well whatever, that's amazing, you're gonna get there whatever your goals are.
do you ever balance on those half balls? I hate wobble boards, but I wanna start working on that too, I see guys at the gym who are in their 50's and 60's and they're more flexible and stronger than I am.

Did you completely stop junk food at once or slowly began decreasing the amount? Because I cut it out completely several times, but I got such bad cravings that I returned to them!
And I'm happy to say that I've finally cut out all of the soda that I drank. Now its just water and lots of orange juice for flavour.......Alhamdullilah!!

It's recommended to decrease your intake of junk gradually for the reason you mentioned. But I wasn’t really a fan of it to begin with, it wasnt a problem for me.

That's really good, soda's about the worst thing for you. Sometimes if I'm in the mood for the sweetness, I'll make a smoothy out of blueberries, strawberries and/or bananas. It's especially good if I planned ahead and froze the bananas.

I was a soda addict since I was a kid and it didn't have any effect on my health or weight......I was practically immune to gaining weight or getting sick.....but lately, my body has completely changed. Now I've allergies, fall sick, gain weight easily.....all the bad stuff
Smoothies are the best!! They fill you up good so you don't feel like grabbing something to bite or drink

Yeh but just think about your heart et al with all of that fat - just because it's not showing up on the outside doesn't mean it's not doing harm on the inside. I'm still waiting for the big metabolism slow down - I'm 28 and I can sit on my butt all day eating burgers and be under 10% body fat. In fact I have done that, and nothing showed up on the outside... but I could tell I was doing damage. Then I think I was walking through a market one day and saw some fresh lettuce and purple cabbage... I thought "I could really go for a salad right now - with nothing on it" My body just said enough was enough.

So true....and thats why I started cutting out things very slowly because I'm a picky eater. And I'm slowly incorporating exercise.....right now I'm just doing once a week for about 1.5 hrs. But when my schedule becomes fuller with getting a job, I probably won't have time, so at least I'll have my eating habits in control...Inshallah

I dont have any goal really, I just want to feel healthy and good about myself. And I think I'm almost there, alhamdulilah. Also, yes, I can balance on the half ball. It's pretty easy, you just need to practice.
And THE BALL is a lot of fun and and very, very tough to work with. :fatty:

i know..but the time you're supposed to wait before donating again is 8 weeks. so that must be for a good reason
and i think for women it's a lot different than for men. still, even though i consider myself healthy and not deficient of vitamins and stuff on a normal basis alhamdulillah (i rarely if ever get sick, etc etc) i still should've known better...my past experience donating blood wasn't the greatest..but it was 3 yrs ago and so i thought it wouldnt be as bad
but now it feels like the same ugly weakness is creeping up on me slowly..ahh..inshaAllah inshaAllah it wont last long
