I never felt like I was getting a good workout with bellydancing.
I mean, it's fun and all that, but it's not cardio exactly, is it? Didn't get my heart rate up.

No because it's so icy that the local newscasters are saying "STAY INSIDE UNLESS YOU HAVE TO GO OUT" and there are tons of accidents. Most of the schools and many workplaces are also closed. That being said, I'm more used to driving in snow and ice than most people (having grown up in a place where it's the norm) so I went to the gym today and it was fine, yet somewhat deserted.

A lot of government and school systems are closed, where I live; however, a lot of people are still on the road. It makes me wonder if my evening gym class will be canceled. I hope not. I really want to go; although I'm still pretty sore from the other day.

Do all of you live in the same state? Or is it snowing everywhere?
I only go to the gym (at school) for my yoga class. Other than that, I mostly work out at home, though there's a gym in my complex which I've checked out too. I don't like having to keep my hijab on though when working out and the women's only workout hours at school don't fit into my schedule.
I did free weights today and cardio (50 minutes on the treadmill)...
Plus, warming up before (thanks for the tip, Sal!) and stretching before and after, of course.
Oh, and 10 of those minutes on the treadmill, I was holding my 22-pound baby cousin.
But also, Spice fed me silly today.
Chicken wings and kebabs and fries and baklava and zucchini salan and chai. She wants me to be a fatty like her.
Also, it's cute how my mom works out and tries to convince my dad to too.

Yep... the hottest aunty ever.
Okay, funny thing is...
I came to my aunt's to workout earlier this week and my bayji was like "Why do you need to work out?" And she fed me halwa and chai instead. But I only ate a little bit and still worked out after.

Well, I tried it again a couple of days ago from a video and I still didn't feel like it was really doing anything for me (except for the "shoulder punches"). Before when I tried it, it was in a class at my school gym. Didn't like the instructor much though.

I didn't go to the gym this evening. My legs are still sore. WTH? Anyway, tomorrow morning they are having a class called groove. Its a dance class. Hopefully, iA, I won't sleep in and miss it. I only have a few more workout days before Denver  !
