I don't find the end-result of walking to be much different from running. if you walk fast at an incline, that is. I gave up running, it's too hard on your knees and you only get one set of knees aaaaaaaaaand, as an orthopedic surgeon told me, "you'll never get anything as good as what God gave you."

I wish I could do push-ups. I can't do anything that involves putting weight on my left wrist.

You really think she's so ugly that she's vomit-inducing? Can we put this thread back on a positive note? Men and women come in all shapes and sizes and we should strive to be healthy and fit with what we have.

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
Has anyone ever stacked ECA? What kind of results did you get / what were the sides?
I need to drop 10-15 in a hurry. I'm aware of the risks, so please no lectures. Bodybuilding forums don't strike me as being to reliable because those guys are on a lot of supplements and their goals are far different from mine, so what may seem like mild sides to them may knock me flat on my back.
Thanks

Since when was that the definition of feminine? So if a woman has tiny to barely there breasts, she is unfeminine? And not for nothing, many people may try to claim they have 'hourglass shapes' and the fact of the matter is that they in fact do not. There are actually four types of female body structures, hourglass having by far the least percentage of owners. So it would be ridiculous to claim that femininity consists solely of having a hourglass shape. And what exactly is a well-defined waist? One that bulges over your pants and has multiple rolls or one that is toned and actually 'defined'?
There is a double standard- if it's not oki to ridicule people who are overweight, then it's certainly not oki to ridicule those who are not. Saying that another woman is 'manly' because of the body structure God has given her is immature, insensitive [vomiting at it is just the epitome of insensitivity], and absolutely a poor example of being a woman.
Stop acting like lobsters ladies, for you won't get anywhere if you keep pulling each other down.

Um...yea back to the topic. My right side SO sore.
When working out at home, do you guys wear shoes?! I heard it's better to ALWAYS workout in a good pair of sneakers. Unless your doing som yoga.

Yeh, over the summer I had a wrist injury, it was infuriating. I'm only starting to get back on track now.
And I hear you about the knees. I try and do cardio that doesn't involve anything high impact, and then save the heavy running for more dispersed intervals. It works, I've done it before and gone right through a mile and a half in 10 min only having previously done low impact cardio. I figure save the knees for when you're really going to need them.

we obviously have different definitions of feminine. you, however, can never seem to accept that other people may have other opinions. it's immature to name-call, shadha.
but then again I don't generally take into consideration things said by girls who discuss their pubes on a public forum. talk about a poor example of a woman.

well..that depends on the kind of run youre talking about. running fast is nothing like walking obviously...like if you do speedwork..high/low and alternate with walking you realize it's nothing like walking..but walking fast on an incline might feel like a jog. generally tho a real run is nothing like a walk

isnt that stuff dangerous? ive never tried it but ive read it might work if taken in the right amounts. but you gotta be really careful about your heart..cuz the caffieine makes you jumpy and i dont know how people can possibly work out on stackers..doesnt it raise your heart rate like crazy unhealthy. i dont know how something like that can be healthy at all.. my advice is not to do it...
and youre male..it's so easy for guys to drop 15 lbs..all that muscle helps a lot. you can do it in like a month. easily.

true..but nothing is worth screwing up your knees. you still need 60 years of use out of them so you should watch out now.

i agree wholeheartedly. but i think it's probably that i need to take a break between incline running. during the run i do not hurt and have never really hurt anywhere alh. and ive been running for a while. it's only when i did the incline a few days in a row really hardcore that i felt it..
for a second i felt like i should ditch running altogether tho cuz i felt majorly freaked out about losing my knees but i think im just gonna start being more careful and strict about the amount of time i take off

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
i love niqabis. esp the ones that work out at my work..it's an all womens gym but they wotn take their niqab off for the longest time..like theyll walk in, swipe their membership card, walk up to their progress card files..take time trying to find it..keep their niqab on the whole time and all the other women stare really unsure and i just look at them like, it's ok we know there're normal women under the black cover..and then theyll walk all the way thru the gym to the back to the locker rooms..then take it off..
anyway i guess it's nice to represent or for dawah purposes or something? i had some ppl come ask me if im the same religion as them (they know im muslim) and theyre like why dont you wear one?
and what if god forbid, some man finds out that we let women walk in with niqab and tries to wear one and come in here?? a lot of creepy men would love nothing more than to walk in here.
anyway one time i told one of the sisters to take her veil off cuz i was like, heyyyy, we're all women here!! you can take that off now and breathe and she did..so maybe i should let them know to just pull it off right when they walk in. but i just dont want to sound really mean/stuck up. they already dont trust me when i tell them we dont let men walk in here and wear a huge hijab while workingout anyway. and prolly think im a sucky muslim for walking around hijabless in an all womens environment...
