Yesterday, our gym had a special class where we did yoga on a rooftop deck. It was so nice and relaxing and we had a nice view while doing it. There was this one Indian auntie there (I think she's Hindu though) and she kept smiling at me. At the end she was like "you married?" and I said I was. Hehe - I might be old, but I've still got it!
JazakAllah Khair!! I'm not so concerned with building mass as to maintaing an athletic build and building endurance..so those links are excellent!

Some of the goals though are like losing 8 lbs in one month and reducing your body fat by 2% or attending 20 classes. I think its a great motivational tool. I'm considering joining; however, I'll be depressed if I don't reach a goal.
I went to the gym and signed up for this thing. It starts tomorrow. Now that I'm going to start work, I hope I can keep up with the program. The lady at the gym seemed kind of rushy. She didn't even check my weight or measure my body fat. She said that I could just come back and do it tomorrow . Oh well...

If you'd set the settings to the least resistance so that you could spin fast then spinning would have somewhat loosened the hamstrings.

Not really - you need to have resistance when standing or leaning over. Cycling is great, but not the only useful form of exercise.

Oh I thought you meant spinning as on a stationary bike. Nvm.

My gym has a contest where you can enter a friend to win 3 free months. I won for my husband for July Now I just gotta drag his behind to the gym. I'm getting a new splashgear top, and inshaAllah maybe I can convince him to learn how to swim.

Also, waaaay stressed out today. I had a cheese personal pan pizza and 3 breadsticks from pizza hut for lunch to sooth the stress. Someone please tell me pizza hut is haram so I stop eating it

Thanks Sally. I had my weight and body fat measured. So, I've lost 1 lb and reduced my body fat percentage by 1%. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm happy, but I'm not too thrilled either. Whatever. Alhumdulillah, I'm alive and I did lose something .

Yeah, so I went to the gym. I did a 5 minute warm-up, spent 30 minutes going through the weight machines and using some of the free weights. I did 30 minutes of cardio on the arc trainer and finished off with a 10 minute cool down on the treadmill and some stretching in the cage. I think I should have done more cardio. Oh well, next time iA.
