As of next week, I'm going to start gradually start cutting out starches and sugars and working out more.. by the end of the week I'll be at about 50-75g per day of carbs.

In a couple weeks I'm going to Vegas, where I'll probably ruin it all.
I can see my upper abs too. I felt so good, like i am achieving my goals. I'm also eating sloppy this week..lotta stress blah..

Core exercises FTW!

Vegas is a bad place to be diet wise..so much fried junky easy foods to eat.

today i did abs first.
MAN ab work rocks. it's rewarding when it pays off..

first i did one set of light weight/high rep dumbbell abs..side to side
then i went to the weighted ab bench and did light weight/high rep

then repeated both above once more

then 3 sets of hanging knee raiseshowever many i could do until muscle failure

and that wasnt really a lot btu the step class was starting so 50 mins of that
it was ok, the instructor was the slow one..i was kinda annoyed. i like high energy

then i did this newish class at our branch.. Hip Hop Hustle..i went to my 2nd class today..it's realllllll nice. but i left after 30 mins because we did it on our toes and my left ankle started hurting. welll it didnt start. its been hurting but the shoes give it more support i guess

oh and i need new work out shoes.

Been seriously cutting down on added sugars... no more juices, Yoplait, even dried fruit! ...I'd been devouring dried fruit as soon as I started making efforts to eat healthier...guess not! Oh, and I never even knew ketchup of all things had so much sugar in it! That however is the one thing I can't cut out, I can't live without ketchup

That's great! I joined a new gym today also. It's kind of pricey, but it is walking distance from my house, is really clean and has great classes, Aveda products in the locker rooms etc. I don't normally shower at the gym (I prefer to go home) but this one is nice and has everything including robes and private changing rooms, so I would consider it.

Today I went to a spinning class and then there was a half hour break, so I showered there and then went to yoga. It was really good. I am going to try and do this every Saturday.

It's a stationary bicycle class. You just get on it and concentrate on spinning properly.
