Heh, I suppose I had that coming.

What I meant was there is a certain rhythm of breathing when doing weight training or at least I thought so. For example, exhale when relaxed and inhale when pulling into a bicep curl. With sit ups it's inhale when going down, exhale going up. No?

Exhale on the contraction my friend.

For instance.....bicep curl = exhale as you bring the weight up and inhale as you bring the weight down.

Don't force anything...this should come pretty naturally.

Ah okay. Thanks for the tip. I usually just follow a dvd routine and don't give it much thought.

Seriously go to a gym like sixpak said, you can't learn to box from a video.
I've done my share of Tae Kwon Do...3 years of it and 1 year spent doing kung fu...have broken both my wrists in actual fights while punching people

You might be right about going to gym and getting a trainer- only if i had the time man...i just wanna know whats its all about...n learn a few techniques...

TKD is useless...as evidenced by your broken wrists. Thats why you should train in a gym, they'll teach you to punch properly. I've trained in gyms where you punch throgh blocks of ice and wood...it not only teaches you to punch properly but it also makes you mentally strong.

You could try training from a DVD but its like learning what Chocolate tastes like using your feet instead of your gob.

So I was supposed to go register for a marathon, and i cant' find where everyone's supposed to go meet. Well, maybe it's for the best, I wouldn't have been able to train as hard during ramadan anyways (think the marathon's in oct). But still I'm sooo disappointed.

OH WELLS.

Heading off to the gym.

assalamu alaykum

I lost 5 lbs alhamdulilah, I'm not working out or anything but I'm a lot more active than I was in KSA so I guess whatever needs to come off will do so naturally...I'm guessing another 2 lbs insha Allah.

Were they chocolate cupcakes?

In other news, I've developed a bruised palate and thus cannot eat anything too solid. As a result I've lost 7 pounds after ages of maintaining the same weight
