And i thought I was something close to slim... (i`m 5 feet 2 inches,like u rite?and 103 lbs)
Anyway, i decided to go into a liquid-only diet for a week.
umm, i think you misunderstood. i didn't diet to get under 90 lbs. i've always been borderline underweight and had trouble getting into the healthy weight range for my height. i was stuck in the 90s (like 94-98lbs) fot the last decade or so and i just recently gained enough weight to put me over 100 lbs, alhumdulillah. and i'm writing this cuz i feel bad that you got frustrated after reading my previous post about that. the two of us weigh pretty much the same from what i got from your post...

and i don't like the idea of being skinny/slim/thinner just for the heck of being skinny/slim/thinner. i wish more people would look into losing weight or maintaining weight from the perspective of what's healthy for their body. and although, alhumdulillah, i've never actually suffered from an eating disorder (i think), i' know from experience that it's pretty easy to get into some really bad eating habits (especially if one's stressed/depressed). so people (all you lovely sisters, particularly), please please keep an eye on your motive(s) for losing weight, and inshaAllah it should be "health and fitness" like this thread's title.

@ the bold part - cuz i'm easily amused

Neither do i, but my in laws and "friends" are like that, and i get really annoyed/sad/too self-conscious when they start implying that i`m somehow "fat" and when they tease me about it.
I know they are problably too picky, to say the least, but due to my already low self steam that affects/hurts me a lot... which leads me to be constantly trying to get to 98 lbs (but i can`t , cause i`m not the kind of person who eats too little, at all, lol...)
Anyway, i`m glad you have reached your goals, i`m sure you are looking and feeling great, and also has lots of energy. Thanks for the input, lol, and let`s keep being HEALTHY, INSHALLAH!! ...

Awww, I'm sorry that they make you feel that way. Your weight is not too much for your height though. Do you exercise? If you do cardio and weights, you could change your body composition, which might be good health-wise. You could also incorporate pilates to emphasize posture rather than trying to lose weight through unhealthy means. Good luck!

Yes, I do exercise, i do Cardio at the mini trampoline, it`s called Power Jump, here, and it`s SO MUCH FUN... i also do some light weights, and i have a tendency to gain lean mass very quick, alhamd!
But you`re right, my posture is terrible, specially after i dropped dance class, and i`m trying very hard to improve it. If i`m not conscious about my shoulders all the time they just "drop/go foward".
I don`t know... ok, i`m not skinny, but i also don`t think i`m fat...i just have to learn how to deal with this constant pressure i get from every side to have skinny legs and absolutly no abdominal folders at all...

Thanks man. Yeh, I've got half a Costco bottle somewhere back in Calgary. I think it did help a while back, when my knee was really bad. But I've been off it for more than a year and no sign of real pain. If some cheap stuff falls into my lap I'll probably do it, but I've got this aversion to pills, even if they're not too serious.

You know... I don't think you have to worry about the 'ab folders' too much. Even if you've really got no fat, you still get little rolls.... your skin's gotta go somewhere.

Here's my perspective on diets - they suck.

Don't eat in a drastic way to reduce your weight. Don't eat in a way that isn't sustainable. If you do a liquid only diet, or one where you cut out all carbs and all sugar, it isn't sustainable. The minute you switch back to your normal eating patterns, or even stray from the recommended guidelines of the drastic plan, you gain weight.

Example: My mother. She's "on" the Perricone plan or diet or whatever. It's very few carbs and absolutely no sugar. Carrots have too much sugar. Bananas have too much sugar. Grapes, oranges, mangos, watermelon, pumpkin, peas etc etc etc have too much sugar. When she stuck to the plan perfectly, it worked great. She lost a ton of weight, lowered her cholesterol, and her skin looked healthy. But, is it sustainable? Can you really imagine giving up all those "sugary" foods forever? No more noodles in soup? No more pizza? No cheese? No croissant? The second you slip up, or if you don't follow the plan exactly, your weight loss stalls and you start to gain it back.

Instead, focus on making healthy lifestyle changes that you can sustain. The weight will come off more slowly, but you'll do it in a healthy way that will last.

Go to a gym & find a trainer.. otherwise you're pretty much wasting your time
