Why is it so hard to fight the fat? Why does it keep coming back?

Cuzzz....fatty stuff tastes good. Well most of the time. Depends on which culture ur from too. Desi food...*cougH* oil on top of Oil. American food...i mean there can b healthy ones but now-adays is just junk food. I like sushi. Its filling and not too heavy. A little damaging to the wallet but good . Also try to make like gym / excercise sort of fun i guess. You need some sorta drive to lose the fat.

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
I'm psyched! Finally got my work shifts switched at the gym so I can start regularly working-out with my new trainer...she's one of the instructors at the gym and a friend of mine who is training professionally as a fitness competitor. She's gonna make me work! Can't wait!!

Sorry. I mean like when you kind hug your toes, or stretch with your feet in front of you, know what I mean? Try to make the weight land right in front of your feet.
And no, you don't need to keep your feet down in all versions. Up to you. Mix it up, so you stay interested and work different muscle groups.
What kind of leg weight machine is it? Try describing it and what part of your leg muscles it focuses on and I can kinda give you an idea of how much you could do for max results. Generally it's good to start off with lighter weight if you're a beginner but it looks like you're not, so the next step up is a very minimal increase in weight, but significant increase in # of sets/reps.
And thanks but I'm not an expert. I'm trying to work on making this my career but it's going to be a while before I can get my certification/degree/first client. And even then I don't know how anyone could ever be an expert in this area; there's always so much new research to learn. You actually need to take a re-certification exam every 2 yrs to stay updated.

Sally: To me a Scientists doesnt need to know everything, yet he has to be able to research and present an hypothesis...i think thats the basic idea of every profession..lets talk abt dentistry(coz im somewhat famiilar wth the field) even after 4 hrs of dentistry..u gotta take ortho courses, endo courses etc...to catch up with the development of the technology and research that is being done...
knowledge grows with us, and we grow with knowledge...so im looking forward for u 2 share ur knowledge with us!!
ok, for my leg/thigh/butt machine, there are two types: i call it the extrovert and the introvert.first one you pull the weight outwards..and the other,...you pull it in...currently i am at 75lbs.. i forgot my muscle names...i thinks its deltoid muscles?
and the last two i like "leg curl" ---> killer!! and the last major leg machine is whenn you are in the sitting position and you are pushing against the "bench"...today, instead of pushing on withmy both feet, i worked out each leg individual with 90 lbs..it was a good feeling.hahh." i can do it type"!...
al hamdoulilah, i just came out of the gym, i did 45+ minutes of Cardio then worked out my thighs/back/legs...one set/leg; consist of 10 rep each...
then i struggle my body through my regular ab workout..i couldnt do the balll thing...i am in so much pain just beneath my duodenum area/lower rib area/ i CANT lean forward on my stomach..and touch my knee .. ...so i didnt do much abs workout, eventhough it is cruical for me to loose my phat belly..al though, i dont wanna break down anything during midterms...ya RUB!
I couldnt do cruches...its been like fthat for 3+ days now....i wonder shud i consult anyone?

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
Are you feeling pain or extreme soreness? Soreness kind of stings and prevents you from using the muscle groups that have been worked out in the past 24-48. And pain, is well..pain

Re: Health and Fitness Thread
Dear Brother sally,
The pain is directly proportional to my bodily movement, it kills when i am coughing, making rukuh, strectching, and laughing etc..Its right above my diaphram area...when it first started, i informed her, she replied by saying, "oh omg is how u build muscles?...with combinaton of ouches and ohs..when u move.."
ps: its mild pain when i am sitting still(like now) when I move..its radiating pain..and when i touch..its localizied tenderish pain in that area ..

Yea that sounds like just muscle pain (more like soreness). Only happens when you workout after a long sedentary period of time.
What happens is that when you work out, the muscle fibers develop tiny tears. This then heals to make the muscle stronger than before. If it doesn't go away after a few more exercise routines then you should get worried.
I love this kind of pain. Makes me know that I'm still alive donchaknow
