There's a ton of supermarket coupons in the sunday paper. Anyways my mom saves a lot of money by having a vegetable garden in the backyard. She grows the basic things she will consistently use like tomatos, green and red peppers, cilantro, green onions, cucumbers, okra, etc. Its a big garden so our neighbors come over and pick what they want as well. At our old house we had a peach tree, plum tree, orange tree it was awesome and it saves a lot of money in the long run.

Anyway, my family spends from $550-650 a week on groceries, and when we're hosting a dinner, then it sky rockets. But we are a large family and made up of mostly men, so I'd think its understandable.

I plan on doing that when I have my own house insha'Allah. Picking up fresh ingredients from your garden. and cooking with them is the best. |

hmm farmers markets are good, but some of the ones in england are even more expensive so u kinda have to be aware.
I guess if u buy fresh stuff then u just have to allocate more regularlar shopping times where u buy a little each time so nothing goes bad. When i first moved out, i was terrible, would spend soooo much money i think over time i kinda learnt how to budget.. like i dont always buy organic but there are some thins i'm really fussy about. Like i need my special K in the mornings no other cheaper cereal does it lol
Oh is 2% milk the same as the red capped skimmed milk... i have that!
