Alright gentlemen, ignore this girl infestation.
Let's talk razors. What kinds you like and what kinds do you hate. If I need to be completely smooth, I'll use a shick quattro, but I need to use electrics to get my neck usually because I've got a tricky cowlick right there  .
Normally I just go over my whole face with my hair clippers, with the guard off. I started doing that when I was in somewhat austere conditions, and it works out fine. No razor rash, and it leaves a rugged five o'clock shadow

I don't think it would be wise for a newbie to use a hair clipper with the guard off in certain area's 
Gillette Fusion is pretty good.
