Cause yeah, everyone says that constant shaving makes hair grow faster and thicker

If you say gullible fast enough it sounds like ice cream.
No matter how often you shave it will never affect the thickness of your beard. Your beard will come in thicker when the vellus hairs mature, thats is all dependant on your genetics my friend. I'm 27 and shaved for 5 years straight and i still don't have much hair in the sideburns area.

From a sunnah standpoint masha'Allah. However you haven't lived unless you've shaved your face with menthol shave cream and a vintage saftey or straight razor...

Re: Mens Personal Hygiene
This isn't so much a hygiene question, it's more of a clothing question (couldn't find the "Mens Fashion" thread)
My friend's wedding is later this year. What should I wear? I've never been to a Muslim wedding before.

Just wear a suit and tie if you wanna be formal, or ditch the tie and leave the top two buttons open if you wanna be semi-formal.

Go with ibn M's suggestion. I've been to a few and just wore nice pants and a dress shirt.
Just wear what you would wear to any other wedding.

Or you could just grow your hair long and tie em with ribbons

Re: Mens Personal Hygiene
Does anyone else get zits under their beard? I haven't shaved for about a month now, and I'm getting several zits in the hairy area on my face. I want to apply acne medicine, but I'm worried it'll bleach my beard.

All the time..you can use an astringent and not worry about it. You should invest in a good deep cleanser/exfloiant.

Just to add to what Revert said, try a salycilic based acne spot treatment like "Clean and Clear", it's pretty harmless and won't bleach your beard or anything.

Re: Mens Personal Hygiene
guys, our thread was started at the same time as the post-crash 'female personal hygiene' thread. yet they have close to 1000 pages.. we have 30, and that includes posts from girls. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. let's try to catch up.
so. does anyone have anything to whine about.. or does anyone need duas for anything like car trouble, skin trouble, their laundry, getting movie tickets, that their toenail polish gets applied evenly, the sins of their pet turtle are forgiven, their toast doesn't get burned, their rishta laughs at their "yo mama" jokes, their shoelaces don't come untied, that the mcrib comes back and this time it's halal.. or anything like that?
(disclaimer: i'm being tongue-in-cheek here, not mean-spirited or seriously critical of the act of asking for dua for anything, no matter how small)
