what should i eat for lunch?
i have noticed that many indian hindus eat daal for lunch. why is that? i am kashmiri and we never eat daal for lunch. so what should i eat for lunch? what do you guys eat for lunch?

burger and fries, poutine if available.
on fridays me and the boys all go out to a hakka cuisine restaurant after jum'ah and have some awesome fried rice + chicken dishes

omg, you love that poutine stuff. You mention it a lot. I'm expecting big things of this poutine. When I make a trip over to Canada poutine better be awesome.  What is it anyway? Some kind of french chicken?

I was on another forum and someone asked "who has stinkier farts: Hindus or Muslims".
Basically, by what we eat was the inspiration for the thread.

French? No, it's French Canadian, which (according to my Aunt who is from Belgium) makes it an abomination.

Poutine, in its simplest form is a bowl of fries with gravy and cheese on top. And yes, its a French-Canadian dish.
There are several variations that add on more foodstuffs or condiments.
Anyways. I only eat the poutine at BurgerKing because their gravy is veggie based. At other stores (like New York Fries) the gravy is real gravy so if you're not too big on zabiha and go for halal-and-anything, then you can eat there.
So, at BK ... when they hand me the bowl - steaming hot and fresh - to me I always flip it right back and ask them to put it into a microwave for about 20 seconds so the cheese bits [see photo above] can melt because thats how I like the cheese. I sprinkle some pepper on top and eat it very slowly, enjoying every bit of it.
I usually order it along with their BK BigFish [way bigger and better than McDs fishburger] and a coke.

I dunno, dude. Chips and gravy. Sounds yucky, but I always say "don't knock it 'til you've tried it". People in the North of England put gravy on their chips aswell. Cheese on chips sounds nice. Not sure about the gravy though.

For lunch? I love sweet food (anything with chocolate in it mainly), but I couldn't have it as a main meal.
