Vari mentioned what are some complex carbs, but I dont think I'll cut all carbs out completely, but yeh prob have a very limited amount of the complex stuff.
Oh and I dont think theres much chance of me doing too much excercise. I hadn't worked out since last September, so I thought I'd start again a few weeks ago. I did 3 days . But insha'Allah I do hope to start working out again, something minimal at least.

Ps. when I saw you'd posted in this thread the first time I thought it was gonna be a long post about how unhealthy it is, then I opened the thread, and it wasnt. I thought too soon lol
sorry i post some really crappily worded/confusing posts when i'm doing work on the side for more info run a search on my posts

i think you should make working out a priority #1. dont focus much on eating habits yet.. once you fall into a regular work out pattern, you can change up your eating habits..everything happens slowly.

Ummmmmm.
I know that's what I'm meant to do, but I dont think I have the patience for it to go that slowly lol.
Even when I was working out regularly (well as regularly as I could*) I still felt like I had to change my food intake** a lot, and still it took like foreverrr to make a difference.

*My working out was like this: I used to aim to work out everyday, just because I knew that's not possible, because some days something just gets in the way, so I wouldnt take any days off on purpose, but it would just happen anyway.
So some weeks I'd work out 3 days, other weeks it'd be 4, or 5.
I do 40minutes on treadmill, alternating between running and high speed walking, then I'd do 20 minutes on the mini stepper, and do like 40 situps but try to do more if I could (be bothered ).
I need to incorporate free weight stuff too though this time.

**My food intake was like this:
Breakfast: 1ricecracker with peanut-butter
Lunch: Some kind of wholemeal sandwhich with lots of salad, may or may not be toasted/or sometimes pasta/ jacket potato.
Dinner: Rice & curry
Snacks:Cornckackers/watercrackers/low fat soft cheese

The only thing that used to change was lunch, it was so boring. I had to have rice like everyday cuz my mum shouts if I dont . I never used to be that hungry at brek anyways and I like ricecrackers with pb, but also I used to think if I have any higher calorie stuff I'll have to work out more.

But considering I didnt eat that much, (it's really like 2 meals and some snacks), and did as much excercise as I could it still felt tlike it took me ages to lose a bunch of weight.
So I'm thinking that maybe cuz all my meals are starch based, maybe taking it out is what's gonna make the difference? Plus I think lack of bread, potatoes and pasta will kinda force me to eat more variety and more vegetables and maybe I wont find it so boring?
I'll see how it goes iA .

How do you people make your omelettes? Does anyone put milk in it? And do you make it runny or firm?
My mum makes them with eggs, onions, salt, green chilli and corriander, and cooks it firm.
I made an omelette for breakfast today. It was okay.
I used 3 eggs, onions, salt, pepper, cherry tomatoes, some broccoli. I was gonna put cheese in I never found any.
Cuz it was kinda of lumpy cuz of the veggies and quite thick, its was firm on the outside but quite soft inside but not 'runny'. I always see it made on cookery shows 'runny' but I dont get it, isn't it still raw ?

Anyways, the cherry totmatoes tasted nice, the brocolli tasted dodgy and grey/like paper . Maybe I shoul'dve cooked them a little beforehand?

I think it would be nice like this:
Eggs, onions, salt, pepper, cherry tomatoes, little bit of milk, cheese. Then it would taste kinda like quiche I guess. Im gonna try it next time.

Anyways:

sh*take noodles are noodles made from dried sh*take mushrooms. They have no carbs, so are supposed to be a carb substitute type food for people who love noodles and things. I've heard of them, but I've never been able to find them.
