im not going to read this thread because its too long BUT

smoking IS ADDICTIVE, but it takes a lot of it to get to that point. ive been "occassionally" or "socially" smoking for a couple (or few?) years now, and im not addicted. i go months without one sometimes. and sometimes i go like two weeks hardcore but i can stop the next day no problem. addiction comes with ALOT of smoking for quite a bit of time. its not like he smoked 3 cigarettes over the course of 3 days and is all of a sudden hooked on them.

anyway shahrukh: dont start smoking. its expensive and youll smell nasty. theyre constantly raising the stupid price of them too its kind of annoying.

Shah, it's really not funny love.

Since a certain someone has moved into the house, I have developed asthma. Do you know how scary it is to have your heart pounding in your chest and you can't catch your breath? I have become so fearful of warm weather.

Do you know how hard it is to not become resentful and bitter towards the person who caused this on me? I have never smoked a puff in my LIFE, why should I have to burden such a disease when I am innocent of any wrongdoing?? Why did the person who supposedly loves me do this to me? Do you know how betrayed I feel? My poor mother can't think about it without breaking down into tears.

I should be on medicine but it hurts too much to take it and plus I have a major disliking towards the medicine industry. But now, as the weather is warming up, I'll have to walk around with a fast acting inhaler, puffing medicine, which is really like toxin with all the damn side-effects it has, into my lungs. What if I get an attack and I don't have the inhaler on me? That's a really scary thought.

I didn't do a damn thing to deserve this.

With all due respect shads, "I didnt deserve this" is not the way to be looking at things. Life is random, cruel, and difficult, wondering about why you deserved anything is a waste of time.

Is it, because if I were the one smoking, then yes I do believe such a consequence is deserved, since it was self-inflicted. But I wasn't smoking and therefore it's not fair, hence not deserved.

Being deserving of things does not mean they will happen to you, and the other way around. Horrible things happen to undeserving people every day, that is just the way it goes. You cant be angry about such things, life isnt fair.

The undeserving is not justified by saying life is unfair. It's like saying, oh don't be angry that your neighbor stabbed you in the foot, life is unfair. I am freakin' angry that I can't freakin' breath. I am though trying to control that anger and not lash out against her, the culprit of my lack of breathing ability, but it's hard to when I'm sitting there unable to breath fearing for my precious lovely MashaAllah life.
