so uhh.. I need some advice. I waxed somebody (mr. jellymill's back

) and now he's all broken out in bumps. He hates it but I dunno what to do...how do I get rid of it?

I feel stupid.

it might be an allergic reaction. same thing happened to my sister (two days before her wedding...) i think youre supposed to put aloe or cortisone on it. something like that. i'd look it up.

in other news, i bowed to peer pressure and bought a Ped-Egg today.
i must say, it's one of the biggest wastes of $9.99 i've ever spent. it was cheaply made and ended up making my feet rougher than they had already been. i could have just spent $3 and got a pumice stone that did the job better (oh WAIT, i already have one of those. silly me) now i have to use my old pumice stone to make my feet feel normal again.

...this is gross and cheap of me, but i'm taking it back to the store.

i asked in advance, and they said i could return it if it didn't work.

Maybe it's just an initial reaction? Why don't you wait till the morning. Meanwhile, keep it moisturized so the skin can heal more effieciently.

Oh ya, cortisone is an anti-inflammatory. aloe won't help (according to scientific studies at least, but others swear by it)

sometimes cortisone creams already have aloe in them. sounds foolproof to me!

well I waxed it like 2 days ago. First it was just red which is normal but then he kept scratching it so I put some of that oil on it that came with the wax strips and told him to keep his hands off it. Then it turned into red bumps and now it's like little clusters of juicy whiteheads, it's seriously disgusting...maybe it was the oil?

Well that oil is mostly to clean off the wax. Sounds like an allergic reaction. Keep it moisturized and ya get some cortisone like afra said

Afra, wish you'd mentioned the Ped Egg in here before buying it. My mom and sister bought it, when they first told me about it I thought they said "pet egg" ...I was like 'why the hell would you want a pet egg?

' ...Anyway like you said, it's a waste of money and even if it did work like it's supposed to, it's kinda gross to have a collection of foot shavings stored in a little egg-shaped container
