Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i just got back from the wedding.
i looked hot mA
omg. the bride and groom were such a BEAUTIFUL couple. mA mA mA
and omg x 982042824. i have NEVER EVER EVER seen my dad dance before. but since it was an arab wedding, there was a dance floor and a bunch of guys doing a complicated dabke. toward the end, they grabbed my dad onto the floor and made him dance with them. it was soooo awkward and soooo funny.
obviously since my dad is desi, he doesn't know how to do the dabke. but better yet, he's kashmiri, which automatically means he can't dance worth crap. (no joke. i inherited this)
so he sort of stood there uncomfortably and flailed. i was laughing so hard i almost fell out of my chair repeatedly

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
hahaha it really was.
i have to give him credit though-- knowing him, i completely expected that he would sneak off-stage when no one was looking and go back to his seat. (it's what i would have done if i were him )
i mean, my dad is NOT a life-of-the-party kind of guy, and this was in front of like 200 people.
but he stayed there the whole time and JOINED IN.

I'm no sixpakistan apologist, but what's wrong with Garnier Fructis?

I don't know, I never used it. Mr. ChotooMotoo sniffs the shampoo before we buy it to be sure that it has a pleasant, but not too girly odor. We share shampoo.

Yeah, I do all of the shopping for that kind of stuff in our household. Mr. PhDGirl probably doesn't complain because then I will invite him to do it.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
So I was informed that there was backbiting of me going on in FPH (necessarily backbiting, because _I_ certainly don't read FPH)
Here is my response:

Garnier Fructis doesn't have a feminine, fruity odor at all. Dunno what you're talking about. Pert Plus smells stronger than Garnier Fructis does. I can't use shampoos that have strong odors, coz I get horrible headaches.
I have no idea why it's perceived as a girl's shampoo.. Y'all are acting like I'm IbnM checking out sales at The Body Shop. I got it coz it was two for one at Wal-Mart (yes, I shop at Wal-Mart and run over toddlers in my spare time).
It's a decent shampoo. I like it, though I'm not especially attached to it. Somehow, many women insist it is a girly shampoo, though I'm not sure why - it's like $3 for a giant bottle. Women generally get good stuff for their hair. Yet, I have had to endure endless taunting about my simple Garnier Fructis (as if a bunch of dumb girls can tell ME what is or isn't manly!).
OK, I'm leaving now. NEGS TO THIS POST WILL BE RETALIATED AGAINST.
.. Actually, since I'm a huge girlyman for using Garnier Fructis, can I be allowed to freely post in here from now on? From what I remember back when you could see people's reps, this thread was a rep goldmine.
p.s. duas for my hair please, my life is tragic, etc
