It's usually in the same isle as the nail polish. Sometimes they have them by the pharmacy too.
HOw to use it: I usually get it wet, and get it soapy with some nice gentle soap (helps it go over the skin easier) then you gently rub it all over your feet (key word is gentle) for a few minutes. Rinse the stone, rinse your feet, and that's it. It's nice

so what exactly do you do? the pumice doesnt actually remove the hair, does it? isn't it like a gradual thinning process?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I use a pumice stone. My mom got from the Indian/Pakistani Halal meat store. My mom uses one too. She doesn't have any hair on her arms, legs, or face. She credits the no facial hair to the fact that when she was a baby, my grandmother used some flour, water, and oil mixture to remove it.
You're not supposed to use the pumice stone to the point where your skin is raw! I use it with enough pressure that I feel my skin is being exfoliated. I also use it in a back and forth or up and down motion. Afterwards, I always follow up with a moisturizing lotion. I use more than I need and rub it into my skin to avoid it being too dry.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I tried using a pumice stone to exfoliate my legs but I personally found it too rough. I was probably rubbing a bit too hard though looking bad. But wouldn't any device that causes friction have the same effect?

I need to use mine more often (I use it on my feet) but I think so. Dr. Scholls sells what they call a beauty stone
sells for ~$3

i still don't get it though. when you finish a pumice-rubbing session, does it leave your legs actually smooth?

I think it does major exfoliating...gets rid of dead skin cells. so yeah, it will make your skin smooth.
but I m still confused as to how to can remove hair?

It does remove dead skin etc. However don't expect hairless legs after one or two uses. I use a pumice stone every time I shower. I'm not hairless, but Alhumdulillah there has been a decrease of hair.

I dunno, but it must work. My mom worked in an office for years with a panty hose and/or slacks rule. She was a right hairy woman in her youth, but now she's practically hairless. She says it's from the constant rubbing/pulling of the slacks/pantyhose.

Ya me too. Well I think with finer hair it does but I can't imagine how it breaks the thicker hair. Which is what you really want to get rid of anyway. I just thought it was weird that my hair grew back significantly finer all of a sudden (it wasn't gradual, not from what I can tell). I don't know if its from the rubbing, who really knows but it just reminded me of the whole pumice stone thing.
