It was definitely more painful than threading. Recently I had my fourth session and alh that wasn't pleasant, but bearable.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
No, nooooo blood drawing. But you know if you were to get your blood drawn for other reasons, you can hold this stress ball. I just ask for that to hold while they do the laser.
And as for how many sessions, ultimately it depends on the amount of hair and the coarseness of the hair. My hair was not even near coarse on my stache (alhamdulillah), but on average it takes about 5-6 sessions.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
my mom and I were cleaning out our closets and she found an epilator.. except i think its from like the 18th century because it looks really weird. it has these huge silver wires, which i'm guessing is what pulls the hair out. lol, i told my mom i dont want it so she can throw it out. she was like it's not that old beta, it will work.
i also found some silver rings that i had bought years ago. they were kind of rusty so i remembered reading somewhere that if you rub toothpaste on it, the dirt comes off and it worked! it looks like i just bought them!

Hehe my mom had one of those epilators. I used to watch her use it and thought it was scary. I tried it once and it didn't work but I don't think I was using it right.
Thanks for the tip about the silver. I should try that out.

my mom's also a teacher. she is currently looking into a new place to work also, because she wants to be able to live closer to my brother(s). it'd be nice cuz due to the state of my dad's health, she has a lot on her plate and i worry so much about the two of them and inshaAllah, it'll be so much better if they were closer to where my brother(s) are. especially after the two major health scares i've gone through with both of my parents in the last 2 yrs, i don't think (God forbid, inshaAllah) i can handle another one.
it's really scary when you make the transition from your parents taking care of you to you taking care of them. it makes your appreciate your childhood and their parenthood so much, alhumdulillah (and mashaAllah them parents!). and i can only imagine how terrifying it'd be to actually be a parent yourself mashaAllah all you, both new and experienced, moms (and dads) out there. YOU ROCK... your babies!
