Asvi, glad to hear you're feeling better
Sumiyia, that's expensive . The last one I got was recommended by fph but it was around $60. By the way, does that Xpressive one come with an attachment for face or is it just for body? I'd like to find a different hair removal method for the face, I don't think bleach is all that healthy

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
salams,
hope you're all doing well inshaAllah
[rant] I told myself that I'd ignore the issue completely and move on with my life..remember the obnoxious aunty? well, she told her daughter that im disrespecting my parents for wanting to go to my friend's party.. blasephemy! i told my friend that, 'i'd rather not discuss this issue any further and i dont see a pt in doing so'...this statement made it sound like im carrying the guilt bag, but the truth of the matter is. im not! i dont think clarifying this issue will make things easier for anyone..i hateeeeeeeeee to be in a sticky situation like this one...
i want to talk to my sister about before i could get a chance to talk to her, someone already had fill her with details.. i didnt get a chance to share my pov. she left me hanging with "you know wat is best for you...i wouldn't think twice"
i was thinking of taking my bride to be friend out for a lunch and then take her shopping..to pay up for my absence at her big day. al hamdoulilah after speaking to one of her family members, it seems that she'll have her wedding and walima out of country..b/c the groom can't get the visa ontime..so they'll have the wedding where she's from and where most of his fam lives..so, the only thing i'll be only missing out is the bridal shower... surpringly, i've one other girls party and two conferences to choose from for that particular day...i'll make her understand my situation somehow..iA
not so bad, eh? al hamdoulilah [/rant]

$100 at bed, bath, and beyond. i think that's the retail price you will find it for at most places. drugstore.com also has it for $100.

no, i think this one is just for the body. the ones for the face tend to be a bit smaller and less hardcore. they say the Emjoi brand has nice ones you can use for the face.
true, $100 is a lot (relatively speaking), but getting your legs waxed two or three times can easily cost as much if not more. and this bad boy does legs, underarms, and bikini line as well. oh and it's washable. so i think it's a big investment. beats shaving, waxing and laser, imo.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
omg no ordering online?! cool! My first and only epilator is an Emjoi, sumiyia and other fphers recommended it and i got it like over a year ago. I don't like it anymore, it hurts A LOT and doesn't work on shorter hairs and it's a pain to clean. So this one at bed, bath and beyond can be washed? How does that work?
And I don't wax, I hate it. It gives me ingrowns, as does epilating

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
If you do end up getting your epilator from BBB, use one of those 20% off coupons. Even if the coupon is expired, they'll still accept it!

wooohoo!! I think I'm gonna go invest in this thing and a nice big foot scrubber to exfoliate with (thanks to salika for advice on that). My current pumice stone is very small.
This is gonna be all-out war on stubble and ingrowns!

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Since I'm finally getting paid, I've started looking into laser hair removal. There's a medi-spa down the street from me - here's hoping they have evening/weekend hours. I should be able to keep them in business for a while.

the xpressive has face attachments. i didn't like it though. it made me break out like crazy but that might be just cuz my skin is crazy sensitive.
are you sure you're lookin at the xpressive? i checked out all the local retail stores and they only had braun silk epil x'elle.. not the xpressive.

In preparation of leaving the mr. has 'buy 10 tubs of wax' on his to-do list one tub has lasted me months, so I'm stocking up insha Allah I'm only ever waxing - relatively painless, quick, long lasting and has the best results for me..so you're not alone
eeekkkkk last night tonight, need to make sure we go on the roof to take pics of the sunset so excited to go on the plan with husband for the first time ever I'm going to miss riyadh, despite its many restrictions, crazy heat, sand storms and lack of water in the air.
more eeks.
