Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Thanks girls for your responses.
As for the aunty, she just didn't stop at how they met..they exaggerated the whole deal..least to say...all in house of Allah..at the masjid I live in a closely knit community where all the aunties and their daughters mingle as one entire family...if i happen to go, this might complicate my friendship with their daughters who are not only my classmates, and co workers..but close friends...its like i'll be considered an outcast after rebelling the 'head aunty's decision'..least i care..but I really value my other friends too..nowadays, i spent more time with them than my bride to be friend who is about to move out of the town.
Secondly, During the day, nomatter how far I have been from the home and the great friends I have made; but, at the end of the day, I do end up coming to my parents' home...and I dont want to live through a bitter daughter-mom relationship...my mom can be very stuborn and unforgiving sometimes...
Thirdly, deep down i really wanna attend all the events and forget about everyone. perhaps, deal with 'em afterwards....arg all this ptv drama is lamer than _______ ..

i think so..subhaAllah..i'd remember random islamican usernames and some thread/post associating with 'em..indicating that they're struggling through a hardship (for instance: preggers, new moms at fph, ) or at times, random islamicans i barely know (for ex: sixpak) would come to mind and many more.. of course, i made those specific du3as too . Some special dua for our singletons at the Mount Arafat/Rehma..May Allah subhawa tallah accept 'em all . ameen
ok i'll sign out b/f i come off as too random..

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
the fancy scarves that i got, the one i posted a link to, is honestly not that great material but it has semi cute embroidery on it plus the colors are hot...basically its not something id wear casually at all...i specifically got it to wear at weddings and other formal events...it's def not stuff you can throw in your washer either when its time to laundry..
the 8 bucks you pay is for the work on it and the metallicish colors, not quality
and youd most likely obviosuly have to wear a headpiece underneathe to secure it bc its a LITTLE bit slippery, and the embroidery on each side weighs it down..you just need to test different ways out to wear it right.. might be wearing it this weekend, will post pics/let you know how it goes
the other ones i got, the ones i cant find a link to, are ok material as well..theyre casuals though so ill prolly wash em more often..
and whoever asked, the FANCY ones arent that long..to wrap then have them fall over your chest..not gonna do it...theyre basically like i said to cover your hair..if i wear them to a wedding ill have a dupatta/something else to go along with it most likely.
the casual ones are good enough lenght

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
woah, lots of sales going on! I better get into shopping mode, I need more new shirts! Pier 1 is also having a sale but I didn't buy anything for my new apartment yet cuz I don't want to get the wrong colors.
My sister and I went to downtown Springfield today (yea I went home to visit alhamdulillah ) and got followed by this schizo homeless guy who kept going 'God bless you.. God bless me.. and you and me...." etc. We hid in a wall groove thing outside the entrance of some office building. I felt a little bad for the guy but it was creepy! And kinda exciting

I even told her the lady that did it last time sucked. Anyway, I recommend waxing underarms. I was never able to epilate there - it just seemed too painful.

I got mine done professionally only twice but by different ladies.. one was like 2 days before I got married. I got sick of torturing myself with my epilator and now I'm just back to razors which I hate because having light skin and dark hair, I have a uhh.. err.. shadow .. Do any of you guys have that problem? Lots of Arab/desi/mixed girls I know seem to have that problem too but nobody has ever been able to give a good solution to get rid of it

Other stores that have hijab-like scarf things: Wet Seal, American Eagle, Forever 21, Gadzooks (sometimes), and H&M...and usually they're pretty cheap and made of light fabric. I'll post more if I can think of them i'A
